Program Management Sr Staff, F-35 Mods & Upgrades - Level 5
This position is one of the fastest growing areas within the F-35 Program.
The position is on the F-35 Mods & Upgrades On-Ramp team, responsible for leading continuous improvement projects, quarterly contract modifications, and various Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) requirements through to contract award. The selected individual will need to translate elements of the overall Fleet Configuration plan and Structural Life Limited Parts (SLLP) program need dates into an executable program plan and proposal. Requires coordination and integration across multiple teams to develop integrated solutions to complex technical, programmatic, and contracting concerns.
What You Will Be Doing:
Areas of focus can include: Coordinates the preparation and negotiation of proposals, proposal work statements and specifications, Supplier SOWs, and financial terms / conditions of contract. Participates in customer contact for weekly program activities and program review sessions. Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program problems and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications, and continuous improvement projects. Establish or alter fundamental ground rules for current and planned contracts. Task assignments will arise from various sources, and the output from the projects worked by this individual will often include coordination with, and out briefs for, executive leaders. Candidate will coordinate with various functions on the team to develop integrated technical/project solutions to both tactical and strategic program issues.
Basic Qualifications:
• Leadership on complex programs involving Department of Defense Systems
• Experience with DoD Contracting or Negotiating
• Experience in process development and continuous improvement.
• Experience with establishing and developing long term, direct customer relationships
• Experience with Mods, Lean, and/or Operations Management
Desired Skills:
• Ability to handle a highly dynamic environment with a range of various competing requirements
• Demonstrated Program or Project Management on complex programs involving Department of Defense Systems, managing >$50M
• Experience with the use of Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) on cost plus and fixed price contracts
• Ability to coach, mentor, and train functional and programmatic team members
• Ability to quickly understand high level technical requirements.
• Value stream mapping experience.
• Experience with development, production programs, modifications, or depot operations.
• Strong organizational, planning and time management skills.
• Articulate in both oral and written communications
• Strong presentation skills and ability to address complex matter / solutions with senior leadership
• Experience with Structural Life Limited Parts (SLLP) technical changes.
• Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
