Manager, Integrated Fighter Group

Description:The Manager Integrated Fighter Group Communications oversees all Integrated Fighter Group communications activities (F-16, F-22, T-50) to deliver consistent, compelling and coordinated messages to global program stakeholders.

The manager is responsible for setting the overall IFG Communications Strategy and developing and maintaining overall program messaging for the IFG portfolio.

The manager will lead a team of 1-2 communicators, providing mentoring and coaching, assigning appropriate work assignments and executing the program communications strategy.

In addition, the manager provides direct executive support to the Vice President, IFG and the broader leadership team. Specific responsibilities include:

Manage development, execution and maintenance of master F-16, F-22, and T-X message and content packages.

Build and maintain strong relationships with the associated program offices and USAF and international customer public affairs officers.

Develop integrated content management strategy that integrated IFG messages across internal and external corporate channels

Lead crisis and issues management for the F-16, F-22 and T-50 programs coordinating as appropriate with the Corporate Communications, Lockheed Martin Government Affairs and broader Aeronautics communications team

Manages domestic and international media relations by building trusted relationships with key reporters and leading the planning, executive preparation and execution of IFG media engagements.

Provide strategic direction for marketing and digital media assets for use on Lockheed Martin channels

Partner with Sr. Manager of Aeronautics International Communications, Manager of Aeronautics Sustainment communications and Aeronautics Government Affairs Communications lead to ensure consistency in global IFG messages to maximize impact with appropriate tailoring for specific audiences.

MUST BE A US CITIZEN - This position is located in a facility that requires special access.
Basic Qualifications:
Generalist across all communications disciplines.

Previous strategic communications leadership experience managing multiple projects.

Experience working with trade media and tier one publications.
Desired Skills:
Strategist with keen creative instincts and expertise influencing leadership thinking in strategic communication and issues management.

Executive presence and Full Spectrum Leadership characteristics

Exceptional writing, editing and oral communications skills with the ability to convey highly complex information in clear, compelling ways.

Motivated self-starter who performs without appreciable direction and works effectively under competing priorities and tight deadlines.

Quick study with an attention to detail and a sense of urgency.

Strong work ethic and positive attitude.

Familiarity with contemporary communications trends and industry techniques, including new media.
