As a Staff Contracts Negotiator with Lockheed Martin Skunk Works, you will have the unique opportunity, to support as the trusted liaison between our internal and external team, working side-by-side with world-class talent, to better the team and support the mission.

A Day in the Life:
At the Skunk Works, we have a rich history and an unmatched capability of using unconventional methods to achieve seemingly impossible breakthroughs—and we do it ahead of schedule. We call this unique design system Skunking. Skunking is quick, risk-tolerant, and most importantly, smart.

As a Skunk on our team, you will:
• Bring multiple cross-functional teams together to lead and coordinate proposals, negotiations, and contract changes
• Supporting day to day contractual activities related to funding, period of performance changes, and modifications to existing contracts

Your knowledge of contracts and negotiations will directly impact the growth and success of the site as you partner directly with programs to consult on contract terms, conditions, and how they apply.
Beyond that, on any given day you may also find yourself:
• Consulting on Intellectual Property questions and concerns
• Ensuring the contract language supports an executable program
• Supporting and facilitating shaping captures and proposal submittals
• Providing Program Invoices and Monthly Contract Deliverables to our Customers

About You:
As a Negotiator, you have the unique ability to listen to others, use creative problem-solving, and arrive at an outcome that satisfies everyone. You believe in collaboration with your team and beyond, gaining multiple perspectives, to stay informed and adapt. Comfortable presenting to variety of audiences, you communicate effectively when speaking to your work. Flourishing in a fast-paced environment, you work well under pressure and you relish balancing and prioritizing varying tasks.

With qualifications and expertise in the following, you will thrive:
Essential Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or equivalent experience/combined education.
• Proficient in contract negotiations.

Desired Experience:
• Experience with and working knowledge of both DOD FAR/DFARS and Prime Contracts.
• Experience with program/project management and program integration processes.
• Previous Aeronautics or Industry knowledge.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree or higher from an accredited college or equivalent experience/combined education.

- Experience with Contract Negotiations.
Desired Skills:
- Experience with and working knowledge of both DOD FAR/DFARS and Prime Contracts preferred.

- Experience handling multiple, widely-varied assignments

- Experience communicating across varied audiences, including written, spoken, and presentation preparation.

- Experience working in a dynamic environment and available to work overtime if needed.

- Experience problem solving, including identifying issues and developing solutions.

- Ability to collaboratively interface with diverse disciplines including, Engineering, Manufacturing, Finance and Business Operations, and Program Management.

- Experience with program/project management and program integration processes.

- Experience working autonomously with general directions

- Experience working in a dynamic environment and available to work overtime if needed.

- Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

- Excellent presentations and communication skills.
