What You Will Be Doing
As the Kit Management Team Lead – IFG (Level 4), you will lead the planning and execution of sustainment kit delivery operations for international and domestic customers. This position plays a vital role within the Supply Operations and Logistics (SO&L) team, ensuring that logistics and material support strategies are effectively implemented to meet mission requirements. You will be responsible for managing customer engagements, interpreting requirements, driving performance against delivery metrics, and overseeing the integration of cross-functional inputs to deliver complete and timely kit solutions. This role requires a strong understanding of logistics planning, customer support, and program execution—making it ideal for a logistics professional with leadership experience and a passion for operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of sustainment kit delivery operations for both international and domestic programs.
- Serve as the primary point of contact between internal cross-functional teams and external customers to ensure alignment on kit requirements and delivery expectations.
- Translate customer requirements into actionable plans, including system configurations, installation support, and logistical coordination.
- Support proposal development and feasibility studies by conducting performance analyses, benchmarking, and capacity planning.
- Oversee the generation, tracking, and fulfillment of kit orders in accordance with contractual obligations, timelines, and cost targets.
- Provide technical consulting and post-installation support to resolve software and configuration-related issues.
- Prepare and present briefings, status updates, and technical product information to stakeholders and leadership.
- Ensure compliance with internal processes and export/import regulations, coordinating with Trade Compliance and Contracts as needed.
- Identify continuous improvement opportunities to enhance kit planning, delivery efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
- Support team development by mentoring junior analysts and promoting collaboration across the Supply Operations and Logistics (SO&L) organization.

Basic Qualifications:
•Bachelors degree from an accredited college or 7 years experience in absence of Bachelors Degree
• Previous experience with supply and logistics support systems, contract negotiations, or sub-contract knowledge, and financial management gained through transactional based, and or performance based supply and logistics aerospace programs
• Experience managing digital and innovation operational aspects of ongoing projects (i.e. robotic process automation/RPA, metrics, dashboards, reporting tools) and serve as a liaison between program/project management, contracts, functional and/or support teams
• Experience leading new initiatives and development of transactional based, CLS and or performance based supply and logistics programs
Desired Skills:
• Excellent verbal, written, and telecommuting communication skills and presentation skills
• Experience in managing costs within Earned Value Management System (EVMS) and budgetary constraints
• Proficiency with SAP and Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Previous experience with the IFG Program portfolio, specifically with F-16 programs, strongly preferred. Previous experience with F-35 Program portfolio welcomed.
•Previous experience with kitting operations strongly preferred
• Understanding of U.S. Department of Defense projects and experience with both domestic and international suppliers is highly desired
• Understanding of Root Cause/Corrective Action analysis as applied to supplier performance
• Ability to perform at a high-level within a dynamic, complex, multi-priority business environment
• Understanding of Import / Export ITAR compliance and processes
• Ability to brief complex issues to senior and executive leadership

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
