Description:This position is for an Information Security professional working for Lockheed Martin (LM) Enterprise Business and Digital Transformation (EBDT) in support of the LM Aeronautics Information Security organization. The position will play a crucial role as an analyst within the LM Aeronautics Security Intelligence & Operations Center. The analyst responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following tasks:

• Monitoring, analyzing, and responding to security events utilizing security event management tools and reports.
• Communicating security events identified as potential security issues to system administrators and following up to reach closure.
• Escalating security incidents to leadership and the LM Computer Incident Response Team (CIRT) as appropriate.
• Maintaining auditable records of log monitoring activities and responding to audit requests.
• Developing and enhancing processes to maintain efficiency.
• Researching, developing and maintaining proficiency in tools, techniques, countermeasures, and trends in computer and network vulnerabilities and exploits.
• Assisting with the development and implementation of security event monitoring on critical systems.

This is a highly analytical position requiring substantial independent research and discretion in responding to security incidents. Candidates should have a U.S. citizenship in order to obtain secret level clearance and bachelor's degree from an accredited college in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Cyber Security, or related field.

The selected candidate will work directly with LM Aeronautics employees, customers, partners, and vendors. The location of this position is at the Lockheed Martin Aeronautics facility in Fort Worth, TX. While this position is scoped to allow for some level of remote work, there is a requirement for some onsite work.
Basic Qualifications:
• Experience analyzing security event log data (Windows, UNIX, Mainframe, Database)
• Strong knowledge of computer vulnerabilities and exploits
• Understanding of networking, architectures and security elements to include firewalls, intrusion detection systems, routers and proxies
• Strong analytical skills demonstrated by related work experience
• Ability to devise workable solutions that balance security and business requirements
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Demonstrated effective written and oral communication skills

Desired Skills:
• Computer Incident Response Team experience
• Experience with security tools (Splunk, Tenable Security Center, IDS)
• Familiarity with system log reviews
• Knowledge of ITSM support tools
• Knowledge of LM Information Security policies
• Security certifications (CISSP, SANS GCFA/GCIH)

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
