Description:Come join the Space IT team, focused on Software Engineering and Development of Business Transformation solutions. We are seeking talented software engineers to revolutionize how Lockheed Martin Space does business.

The successful candidate will be highly motivated. Exceling as part of a technical team of integration engineers with a problem-solving mind set, who meets deadlines, communicates effectively, enjoys challenges, can work independently, and has the ability to learn new information and systems quickly will thrive in our high-performing software development team.

The ideal candidate for this position has worked in agile software development environments, taking ownership of their tasks/stories and contributing to various products. Our product teams will work closely with their scrum master to identify tasking and plan future sprints. At times, working closely with the architects and process owners who have designed the solutions to firm up requirements or perform testing.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Partnering with stakeholders and peers to shape project/backlog requirements and develop technical solutions to those requirements
• Successful development, testing, deployment and maintenance of IT software components, incorporating agile and DevOps methodologies and concepts
• Containerization and automation of solution deployments in a continuous improvement/continuous development (CI/CD) environment.
• Participation in a virtual, agile software development environment including task estimation and documentation, daily scrums, sprint planning and retrospectives
Basic Qualifications:
• Proficiency with fundamental front end languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript or Blazor
• Programming experience in Java and other languages such as C#, Visual Basic, J#, SQL, HTML
• Experience with Cloud-based application development
• Experience working in an agile software development environment (DEVOPS)
• Ability to establish strong team relationships and self-manage work
Desired Skills:
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage priorities and requirements in a fast-paced setting
• Interest and ability to learn new tools and technologies
• Experience developing microservices
• OpenShift experience preferred
• Experience with CI/CD technologies like GitLab
• Experience developing and deploying software on Redhat OpenShift cloud • Experience with container-based development and orchestration.
• Willingness to operate in an interactive virtual team environment using tools such as Slack and Confluence
