THE WORK

Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems has an opportunity in Ground Support Equipment for a Systems Engineer supporting the F-35 program. On our Sustainment Engineering team, you can help us take on the world’s most important and complex challenges by providing solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity. In this important role, you will collaborate with a diverse team of technical professionals and interact with outside customers. The successful candidate will be flexible, motivated, dedicated, detail-focused, team-oriented, and capable of multi-tasking.

Position Responsibilities performed under general supervision to complete milestones associated with specific projects:
• Supports risk assessments and risk mitigation plans, including balancing technical risks between systems.
• Manages key aspects of the technical implementation of the program, by collaborating across a number of disciplines to ensure that technical parameters, interfaces, and assumptions are consistent across disciplines, and interfacing with stakeholders (engineering, technical staff, client) to ensure program goals are met.
• Orchestrates cross-functional collaboration opportunities to ensure best practices and domain knowledge are shared.
• Performs hardware/software troubleshooting.
• Supports and provides guidance on operations and maintenance, including definition and communication of complete test, integration, and checkout plans for new capabilities.
• Works continuously and cross-functionally to analyze, test and iterate technical requirements, user stories and operations concepts.
•Provides technical direction and clarification of requirements within the DevSecOps team.

Please Note: This position requires a candidate who is a U.S. Citizen and has the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance. The role is located at a facility that requires special access.

WHO YOU ARE

The successful candidate will report to the F-35 Support Equipment (SE) Sustainment Engineering, Systems Engineering Lead. The candidate will actively engage and support multiple teams, ranging from SE Sustainment Engineering, SE Action Request, F-35 Flight Test, F-35 Weapons, DQIM, Operational Sustainment team, to the individual Aircraft Maintenance Support Engineers to resolve issues which may adversely impact product delivery and performance.

The successful candidate will address specific tasks include, but not limited to: Supports the AR team to address specific customer requests for the AME team, of which the AR analysis team will be composed of various members of the Support Equipment engineering team. The individual should be able to perform technical planning, systems integration. Technical knowledge and skills supporting F-35 Program

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree or training in a related discipline.
• 3 or more years of experience developing system requirements, system interfaces, system configuration and techniques
• 3 or more years of experience performing integration
Desired Skills:
• Alternate Mission Equipment (AME) or Aircraft Armament Equipment (AAE) knowledge
• Verify authorized AME/AAE Configurations are inputted by Provisioning into system of record correctly
• Experience with Team Center (PDM/LDM) and Advanced Technical Logistics Applications System (ATLAS)
• Familiar with stakeholders and teams, to understand issues surrounding implementation of Action Requests (ARs), prioritizing, conducting engineering investigations, determining solutions, and providing resolution
• Able to perform extraction, mapping, manipulation, and translation of data
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
