Job Responsibilities
Description:In-Country Quality Leader for the F-35 Quality &
Mission Success organization located at the F-35 facility in Nagoya, Japan. The scope of this role includes day to day Quality leadership for Final Assembly & Check Out (FACO) as well as Maintenance, Repair, Overhaul & Upgrade (MROU). Responsibilities include providing technical assistance and advisement related to QA policies, procedures for tools, parts, assemblies, and complete aircraft operations, and practices related to quality oversight in manufacturing and field operations environments.
- Candidate will provide day-to-day direction as the lead for all LM Aero Quality and Mission Success organization personnel on-site at Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) to include supplier, production & sustainment quality.
- Candidate will provide technical assistance to MHI in the development of procedures and processes for material acceptance, material recall, inspection requirements and customer product acceptance including aircraft and support equipment as applicable.
- Candidate will be responsible for communications and coordination with LM-Aero, MHI, and DCMA/Japan Ministry of Defense personnel to ensure compliance of contractual quality requirements.
- Candidate will ensure that MHI meets Quality requirements and drives necessary action with LM & MHI team to ensure targets are met.
- Selected candidate will assist MHI with the
identification, development and coordination of
corrective and preventive action.
- In addition the candidate will assist with data reconciliation and aircraft presentation to the customer for in-process assessments and final DD250.
- Candidate will be required to interface within a
multi organizational environment, supporting the Technical Assist Team in Japan, all levels of management both on site and in Forth Worth, technical subject matter experts, production, sustainment and flight operations personnel, and customer representatives.

Basic Qualifications:
- Strong working knowledge of the AS9100 industry standards and DCMA requirements.
- Knowledge of Material Review processes, inspection tools & techniques, and associated nonconformance documentation.
- Specific experience with material/aircraft survey
processes or modification completion and customer closure processes.
- Experience conducting causal analyses/problem
solving, corrective and preventive action, continuous improvement methods and techniques will be required to support operations.
- Ability to promote supplier understanding of
performance expectations, technical instructions and verification requirements for process and product compliance.
- Experience with interpretation of engineering
drawings and specifications.
- Aircraft Assembly, Sustainment or Flight line experience including aircraft release and DD250 Process.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
-Ability to obtain and maintain Secret Clearance per business requirements
Desired Skills:
- Knowledge of Safety of Flight Inspections, customer coordination, and product/process verification responsibilities.
- Experience as an international customer support, field quality service representative.
- Design for manufacturing, Six Sigma, SPC, Green/Black Belt certifications.
- Japanese language skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Self-starter and able to work independently.
- Experience with F-35 final assembly or flight line
production verification for quality assurance.
- Previous leadership experience
- Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline
-10+ years of experience

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
