What You Will Be Doing

As an Egress/Crew Escape Sustainment Lifecycle Manager on the F-35 Fleet Optimization team, you will play a vital role in enhancing sustainment strategies and delivering cost-effective solutions for the aircraft’s critical egress and crew escape systems. In this role, you will lead efforts to improve system performance, reduce lifecycle costs, and mitigate risk—analyzing sustainment data, developing actionable recommendations, and collaborating closely with engineering, logistics, and maintenance teams to ensure long-term affordability, availability, and mission readiness across the F-35 enterprise.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead Sustainment Improvement Projects (SIPs) that focus on optimizing the performance and reliability of egress and crew escape systems.

- Analyze sustainment and maintenance data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.

- Recommend and implement cost-effective sustainment strategies that enhance availability and reduce lifecycle costs.

- Evaluate supply chain posture, maintenance practices, and technical procedures; recommend updates or modifications as needed.

- Support the development and refinement of maintenance plans, ensuring they align with program performance goals and safety requirements.

- Create and deliver executive-level briefings to leadership and customers, summarizing analysis results, project risks, and recommended actions.

- Partner with cross-functional teams including engineering, logistics, and supply chain to ensure alignment across sustainment initiatives.

Who You Are
You are a detail-oriented, systems-focused professional who is passionate about ensuring the operational readiness of critical aircraft systems. You bring a strong analytical mindset, solid understanding of lifecycle sustainment principles, and experience leading complex improvement initiatives. You are comfortable briefing leadership, navigating technical and logistical challenges, and collaborating with diverse stakeholders to drive results that directly impact mission success.

• Must be a U.S. Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college

• Aircraft maintenance operations knowledge

• Experience with managing life limited components

• 5-10 years prior F-35 Egress experience

• Experience with analysis tools, data management or comparative analysis.
Desired Skills:
• Experience in Autonomic Logistics Information System (ALIS)
• Knowledge of Electronic Equipment Logs (EEL’s) and the digital parent/child relationship
• Experience with sustainment and logistics
• Experience with military service operations & customers
• Experience with analysis tools, data management, or comparative analysis
• Project Management skills, including written and oral, to lead and conduct analysis of complex sustainment/ engineering issues.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
