The ISA UAS division of Lockheed Martin Skunk Works is seeking talented DevSecOps Engineers with a Software Engineering background to join our team continuing our 80-year legacy of pioneering advanced aircraft.
As a DevSecOps Engineer for the Advanced Development Programs (ADP) Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) Functional Domain, you will support the implementation of DevSecOps practices.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines for building, testing, containerizing, and deploying application code. Contribute to reliable, automated pipelines that help teams deliver software efficiently and securely.
Work closely with software, systems, and security teams to ensure pipelines integrate with program environments and meet mission and security requirements. Gain hands-on experience in automation, pipeline development, and system integration using GitLab CI/CD and related tools. Assist in troubleshooting and improving workflows while applying DevSecOps best practices.

By supporting pipelines and integration workflows, you help teams deliver software consistently while reducing manual effort and integration risk. Collaborate across software, infrastructure, and hardware teams to strengthen a scalable, reliable development ecosystem for current and future programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, test, and maintain CI/CD pipelines supporting build, integration, deployment, and validation in GitLab CI and related environments
- Write scripts and automation to integrate hardware/software workflows in lab and hybrid environments
- Collaborate with software, systems, hardware, and security engineers to implement pipelines meeting program and security requirements
- Contribute to Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Ansible for repeatable deployments across hybrid environments
- Automate testing, integration, and delivery processes to improve software quality and reliability
- Integrate containerization and virtualization tools (Kubernetes, Podman) into development workflows
- Develop monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting solutions to provide visibility and improve pipeline performance
- Collaborate with engineering teams to adopt DevOps best practices and improve software delivery strategies
Travel up to 10% may be required.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in software development with a focus on DevOps
- Hands-on experience supporting or building CI/CD pipelines, preferably with GitLab CI/CD
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Podman, Kubernetes)
- Proficiency in scripting or programming languages such as Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar
- Experience working in Linux-based development environments
Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access and a Secret clearance updated within the last 6 years to be considered.
Desired Skills:
- Experience with GitLab CI/CD, including pipeline configuration, job artifacts, and dependency management
- Exposure to non-traditional DevOps environments, such as lab systems, embedded systems, or hardware integration
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Ansible
- Experience with package management tools (e.g., Conan)
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools for on-premises or hybrid systems
- Experience using Agile development tools and practices (e.g., Git, JIRA, Confluence, CI/CD platforms)
- Understanding of build systems and compilers (e.g., CMake, Make, Gradle)
- Knowledge of software and system integration testing and validation practices
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including hardware and systems engineering
- Current Security+ certification or willingness to obtain
- Active Secret security clearance

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $79,700 - $140,530. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
