We are seeking a skilled Cyber Systems Security Engineer Sr with hands-on experience in VMware, Windows Domain administration, and Red Hat Enterprise Linux to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, deploying, and managing physical and virtualized environments using vCenter, Hyper-V, and ensuring security best practices. Proficiency in automation using Ansible, PowerShell, and Bash for streamlining system configurations and deployments. Role requires hands-on experience and system administration experience of a Microsoft Active Directory environment on air-gapped systems. They will be responsible for system design and engineering solutions to deploy and maintain various air-gapped networks utilizing on-prem architecture.

Key Responsibilities:
The Cyber Systems Security Engineer Sr will be responsible for developing engineering solutions and maintenance of various air-gapped networks and systems. This includes network planning, system buildup, software automation, verification, and validation of multiple components providing overall system functionality. Experience with automation tools and scripting languages is expected.
The applicant will be responsible for ensuring all systems are NIST/RMF/JSIG compliant in support of an ATO package. They will be involved in solving complex problems associated with various software integration and deployment of multi component systems. Work will also include creation, modification, and maintenance of system documentation (configuration guides, system inventory lists, drawings, etc).

Basic Qualifications:
Proven experience with enterprise system platforms.
Strong background in operating systems, including Windows Server (2016/2019/2022) and Linux distributions (RHEL)
Hands on expertise with VMware virtualization technologies.
Hands-on expertise with Microsoft Hyper-V virtualization technologies.
Demonstrated ability to perform system hardening, vulnerability remediation, and security configuration management
Experience providing end user support and responding to security incidents
Willingness and availability to perform remote travel.
DOD 8570 certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CASP, CISSP or CCNP-Security.
Secret / Top Secret Clearance Level
Desired Skills:
Capable of completing any additional enhanced security reviews required by government contracts; must acquire and maintain all necessary program clearances within a timeframe that satisfies Lockheed Martin’s operational needs.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a relevant discipline or an equivalent combination of education and at least five years of professional experience.
Proficient with enterprise security tools (Trellix ePO, Solarwinds) and deployment of tools to all systems.
≥ 5 years experience administering Windows operating systems (Server 2016/2019, Windows 10/11, etc.) and Linux platforms (Red Hat Enterprise Linux, IBM/AIX, etc.).
Hands on experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware, Horizon, vSphere, vCenter, vSAN, and Hyper V.
Experience in vulnerability remediation and security management, including system hardening, log management, and configuration control using tools like Trellix, SCAP, and HBSS.
Familiarity with core infrastructure services: Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, Group Policy, Quest/SAS.
Proven track record installing software, providing technical support, and maintaining accurate documentation.
Experience delivering end user support and performing incident response activities.
Knowledge of Information Assurance (IA) hardening and compliance frameworks (e.g., STIG, DSS), including related documentation.
Experience with NAS, SAN storage systems and their associated networking.
Scripting skills to automate system administration tasks (Ansible, PowerShell).
Understanding of SQL or other database technologies and the ability to work with them.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
