Aircraft Secondary Power System Integration Engineer Senior Staff

Description:Become part of our team as an in-country engineer for the KF-X Secondary Power Systems (SPS) development and provide engineering technical assistance to Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) to develop an advanced, multi-role fighter for the Republic of Korea Air Force. This position will be located in Sacheon, South Korea and the selected candidate will deploy from their current location and will not have to relocate to Fort Worth, Texas.

The selected candidate will have high proficiency in secondary power system elements, to include an Auxiliary Power Unit (APU), Aircraft Mounted Accessory Drive (AMAD), and associated hardware and software related to engine start and engine shaft power transmission to aircraft subsystem elements. Proficiency includes a working knowledge of the applicable requirements, design and procurement processes, analysis and verification testing. Of particular value is hardware experience with integration test rigs, aircraft ground, and flight test support for SPS elements.

Overall tasks shall include but are not limited to – providing subject matter evaluation of secondary power system elements, through the development, analysis, integrated test, aircraft ground and flight test phases.

Upon selection, the candidate will receive details of the long-term benefits package associated with this international assignment. The current salaries of internal candidates from Lockheed Martin will also be taken into consideration.

Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access. Candidate must be able to obtain a South Korean visa and relocate to South Korea.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college
• 9 years experience working on a fighter aircraft platform
• Background in aircraft secondary power system development, integration, design verification, qualification testing, and flight test support.
• Experience overseeing multiple tasks simultaneously to identify and resolve task conflicts and issues
• Exceptional skills to mentor and train other engineers
• Experience working on diverse engineering teams
• Experience with military or government programs
Desired Skills:
The following skills are desired:

• Experience with fighter jet secondary power generation
• Experience with APU integration
• Experience with AMAD integration with jet engines
• Experience with air turbine starter integration
• Experience with thermal management process of the SPS
• Experience with assisted engine starting
• Experience with verification testing and flight test support
