Aircraft Logistics Support / Performance-Based Logistics Engineer

Description:Become part of our team as an in-country engineer for the KF-X effort. This program provides technical assistance to Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) to develop an advanced, multi-role fighter for the Republic of Korea Air Force. This position will be located in Sacheon, South Korea and the selected candidate will deploy from their current location in the first quarter of 2020.

Responsibilities include:
• Development of system level, sub-system level, and component level Performance-Based Logistics (PBL) performance metrics
• Review the structure and architecture of PBL funding sources, Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) contract requirements, and ILS procurement contracts.

In addition to strong technical skills, the candidate should have a track record of success working in diverse groups where attention to the customer is paramount. The candidate should also have a background that demonstrates effective cross-functional team building and coordination skills. The successful candidate will serve as a subject matter expert and train and mentor customer engineers. Upon selection, the candidate will receive details of the long-term benefits package associated with this international assignment.

Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access Candidate must be able to relocate to Korea and must be able to obtain a Korean VISA.
Basic Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have the following:

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college with 10 years related experience

Related experience must include the following skills:

• Experience working on a fighter aircraft platform
subsystem design to provide expert assessment of aircraft design

• Experience Interpreting requirements and developing metrics with regard to logistics support

• Sensitivity or trade-off analysis skills

• Experience with MIL-STD-1388
Desired Skills:
The following Desired Skills are not required, but are those skills that will set a candidate apart from the others:

• 5+ years experiences as PBL project manager or engineer in the several USAF PBL Project
• Experience for making the PBL SOW (Statements of Work)
• Experience for development of PBL implementation plan
• Knowledge & understanding of the aircraft PBL total process
• Experience for conducting BCA (Business Case Analysis) in legacy PBL project
• Experience for conducting the evaluation of PBL performance in legacy USAF PBL project
• Experience with large-scale, real-time systems, preferable fighter aircraft applications
• Understanding requirements for planning and integration of large, real-time systems
• Intimate knowledge of airworthiness requirements for all aspects of the system/hardware/software development and test life cycle
• Knowledge of the aircraft design process
• PDR / CDR experience
• Exceptional interpersonal skills
• Experience working with international customers, particularly the Korean Government or culture
• Experience with Export Control Compliance
• Aircraft Maintainability Engineering or Aircraft Logistics Support
• Experience with leading large teams
• Experience with military or government programs
