Aircraft Flight Control Law Integration Engineer Senior Staff

Description:Become part of our team as an in-country engineer for the KF-X flight control law development and provide engineering technical assistance to Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) to develop an advanced, multi-role fighter for the Republic of Korea Air Force. This position will be located in Sacheon, South Korea and the selected candidate will deploy from their current location and will not have to relocate to Fort Worth, Texas.

The selected candidate will have high proficiency in flight control law development, working knowledge of the applicable requirements, and experience with piloted simulator evaluations and flight test. Will monitor the control law design process, analyses, and ground/flight testing to provide an assessment regarding any potential safety of flight issues. In addition to strong technical skills the candidate should have a track record of success working in diverse groups where attention to the customer is paramount.

Overall tasks shall include but are not be limited to – providing subject matter evaluation of safety critical aspects of the flight control law design through the development, analysis, piloted simulation, and flight test phases.

Must be willing to relocate do Korea.

Upon selection, the candidate will receive details of the long-term benefits package associated with this international assignment. The current salaries of internal candidates from Lockheed Martin will also be taken into consideration.

Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access. Candidate must be able to obtain a South Korean visa and relocate to South Korea.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college
• 9 years experience working on a fighter aircraft platform
• Background in flight control system development, integration, design verification, qualification testing, and production.
• Experience overseeing multiple tasks simultaneously to identify and resolve task conflicts and issues
• Exceptional skills to mentor and train other engineers
• Experience working on diverse engineering teams
• Experience with military or government programs
Desired Skills:
The following skills are desired:

• Experience with Mil-Std-1797A and Mil-Hdbk-516B
• Experience with Simulink Tool
• Experience with Control Law design and design process
• Experience with piloted handling quality evaluation
• Experience with Ground and Flight test supports
