Description:As part of the Advanced Manufacturing Technologies organization in the Chief Technology Office, this role anchors
research and development of advanced digital and Industry 4.0 operations technologies. It is a key senior technical leadership position that will have significant impact positioning Lockheed Martin for the future. Responsibilities include providing technical leadership in the areas of automation, robotics, and human augmentation to both direct and indirect project teams across the enterprise, engaging external research organizations, developing strategic technology roadmaps, and delivering transformative technology.

Preference will be given to candidates aligned to a local LM facility with a significant manufacturing presence.
Basic Qualifications:
Ten plus years of experience in technology leadership and success in guiding high performing, technical and functional professionals across disciplines and business areas. Demonstrated effective collaboration with, and delivery of value added technology to, internal customers. Recognized expertise in robotics, manufacturing automation, and/or human augmentation technologies for operations, in particular within the aerospace and defense industry or equivalent high-tech or industrial company.

Demonstrated success in collaborative development with external partners is required and the selected candidate must be capable of representing Lockheed Martin effectively with external partners, customers, and government entities.

Experience with developing and maintaining strategic multi-year project plans and technology road maps including strategic sourcing. An affinity for coaching and mentoring less experienced employees as well as a dedication to continual learning are critical.
Desired Skills:
The selected candidate must demonstrate effective communication and presentation skills and the ability to explain technical solutions in business terms as the position will require frequent interactions with technical and executive leaders across the Enterprise.

The selected candidate will be a member of a
high-performing team and must be self-motivated with a strong work ethic, time management skills, and interpersonal aptitude with track record of high quality, on-time delivery.

Ability to travel for broad business area
facilitation and team interaction is required and
should be expected at approximately 10% time,

Ability to obtain a secret clearance
