Duties include supporting Life Cycle Sustainment Activities and Aviation Modification Activities of Special Operations Programs by providing logistical support to the Fixed-Wing Aviation Program Manager. The successful candidate will provide leadership in the field of Logistics on the Programs/Platforms assigned at Fort Walton Beach, Hurlburt Field, Eglin AFB and Crestview, Florida. Management duties include oversight, supervision, and performance evaluation of +/- eight employees engaged in full spectrum logistics operations. Coordinates task order requirements with Program Management and Logistics personnel to include warehousing, transportation, repair and return, and logistics leadership. The candidate will ensure that the most efficient and effective processes are utilized in handling customer materiel. Responsibilities include coordinating program requisitions, and inventory related task order requirements with all functional organizations, performing analysis, preparing reports to validate supply obligations, monitoring expenditures. The candidate must be proactive in planning, scheduling and executing daily activities. There is a strong need for this individual to develop, write, continually improve, train, monitor, and enforce processes and procedures dovetailed with Enterprise Logistics objectives. Individual will be required to attend/brief Logistics activity in daily, weekly, and monthly meetings with peers, and various layers of higher level management; stay current on meeting activity delegated to subordinates; and provide appropriate flow-down of information to applicable staff. Individual will be responsible for reviewing all Basis of Estimates affecting supported task order logistics requirements to determine applicability, scope, accurate forecasting, and to advise on necessary changes including identifying additional requirements to ensure Enterprise compliance. This includes participation in all Bid Proposal, Kick-off, and Program Management Review meetings in-person or by teleconference to advise all parties on Logistics matters for all supported programs. The candidate must possess a complete understanding and application of business principals, concepts, practices and standards; work with DOD systems and understand DOD cataloging process and DOD logistics terminology. Individual must be proficient in Microsoft software programs in order to research, develop and create documents and presentations; as well as a strong knowledge of applying advance database techniques for extracting querying and analyzing large amounts of raw data from various sources.
Basic Qualifications:
Demonstrated Full Spectrum Leadership characteristics. Broad experience with logistics management, logistics management systems, analysis and inventory management / control. Demonstrated experience leading people and teams in a dynamic and challenging environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the demonstrated ability to communicate to all levels of management and customer organization. Advanced experience in FEDLOG/WebFLIS research retail supply operations; warehouse and property management experience; intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; skills in developing trust with internal partners. Strong interpersonal, communication and networking ability able to generate innovative solutions through process improvement and change management events.
Desired Skills:
Experience and understanding of DOD Logistics systems / processes and FAR / DFAR compliance and property accountability. Experience with executing inventories and inventory control. Previous work experience utilizing logistics automation systems and technologies to improve logistic efficiencies, effectiveness, inventory control, and provisioning, forecasting, and metric generation. Government on Line Data Inventory Management System experience and Jobscope desired but not required. Relevant experience with potential future systems – DPAS, SAP - desired but not required.
