Seeking candidates to fill the position of F-35 Support Equipment (SE) Field Operations Sustainment Associate Manager.
The Associate Manager for the F-35 SE Field Operations Sustainment organization will provide direct managerial oversight to a team of roughly 20 employees functioning in F-35 SE technical support roles at field sustainment operations worldwide.
Managerial functions include
• Daily engagement with employees based in US, European, or Asia-Pacific regions:
• Carrying out annual performance reviews on all employees.
• Daily /weekly overview and approval of employee timecard submittals.
• Monitor budget requirements.
• Administrative actions for any given employee in the organization, planning and execution of staffing actions for new or replacement employees on staff.
• Host weekly employee engagement discussions, mentoring of employees seeking job or career progression.
• Participation in annualized billing estimate creation.
• Validating funding paths for employee labor, travel, and site sustainment needs.
• Liaise with LM Human Resources to address any and all employee related matters that are not easily resolved without HR involvement.
• Carry out recognition actions for high performing employees as well as disciplinary actions for various circumstances of unsatisfactory employee performance.
• Review and approve travel authorizations for employees both stateside and abroad.
• Review and confirm any potential employee expenditures at a given site and verify proper funding mechanisms in place to support said expenses.
Additionally, candidate selected for this role will be expected to become familiarized on full spectrum of F-35 SE product line, current operational, processes and procedures for field operations sites.
Must be able and willing to adapt to the constantly changing operational characteristics of the F-35 SE Sustainment operation as program needs mature over time.
This position may require travel up to 20% of the time.
Basic Qualifications:
Managerial background in military or civilian ground support equipment sustainment operations.
Aerospace Ground Support Equipment maintenance experience or commensurate related experience.
Excellent communication skills.
Proficient using MS Office Software including Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word & Outlook.
Experience using engineering drawings and technical data.
Familiar with work conditions on military flight-line environments.
Proficient in industry standard maintenance practices.
Knowledge of industrial and aircraft maintenance safety standards.
Candidate must have a Secret security clearance, active within the past two years, or have the ability to obtain an interim Secret clearance prior to first start date, obtaining final Secret clearance within 1 year of hire date. Failure to obtain final Secret clearance within 1 year may result in
termination of employment.
Desired Skills:
Military flight-line AGE / GSE maintenance experience.
Familiarity with DoD maintenance manuals.
Experience with military standard maintenance practices.
Professional focused on mission success.
SE data management experience.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
