The Double Eagle (DE) program is seeking an East Operations Director to lead 24x7 mission operations for LM Space's franchise operations program. DE is a consolidated Operations and Maintenance (O&M) program that includes scope across a large mission portfolio as well as across three separate geographic locations. The program is comprised of ~700 FTE with ~$200M in annual sales with LM as prime and Boeing and Raytheon as significant subcontractors. The program performs 24x7 Command & Control, Mission Planning/Scheduling, Tier-1/2 Mission Engineering, Test, Readiness, and Anomaly Response activities under a Cost-Plus Award Fee construct.

***The position requires working 12-hour rotating shifts, alternating between day and night shifts***

As an Operations Director (OD), this individual will provide overall direction and technical leadership for 24x7 operational activities as well as responses to system hardware and software problems. The OD represents the management team off-hours and provides direction to the shift engineers as well as calling-in additional engineering skills to solve more complex problems. The OD will also effectively interface with day staff leadership and support integration of future hardware and software deliveries.

Specific duties include: approving operational procedures, directing responses to system hardware and software problems, routinely interfacing with the customer, providing solutions and options during anomalous conditions, informing company management of operational issues, coordinating problem resolution with external segments, prioritizing system resources, maintaining accurate operational procedures, presenting customer and contractor briefings, and documenting system discrepancies. The OD is also required to initiate and participate in process improvement activities and support assigned and self-initiated projects.
Basic Qualifications:
*TS/SCI w/ Poly required

*Experience working in a 24x7 mission operations environment

*Experience working in a dynamic customer environment with proven customer intimacy skills

*Strong communication skills

*Strong project & schedule management skills

*Experience briefing customers & management
Desired Skills:
*Demonstrated technical leadership, particularly during anomaly and contingency scenarios

*Existing Double Eagle operational certifications, at least 1 preferred

*Proven experience transitioning new systems into an operational environment

*Knowledge of customer site infrastructure

*Risk management skills preferred

*Existing knowledge and experience with the Double Eagle program preferred

*Proven ability to lead change and drive operational transformation efforts

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
