The selected candidate will provide technical and functional leadership to the Intermediate Range Conventional Prompt Strike (IRCPS) RF Integrated Product Team (IPT), part of LM’s corporate drive to develop hypersonic vehicles. We are in search of a candidate who will be the RF and Radar Payload Center of Excellence (RFCoE) primary collaborate with the IRCPS program management team, responsible for ensuring program needs and RFCoE engineering recommended practices are coordinated consistent with program on-time deliveries. The RF Engineering Manager will ensure prompt and attentive communications between IRCPS program representatives and the RFCoE. As the RF IPT lead and Cost Account Manager (CAM), the RF Engineering Manager will coordinate the flow of program communications with the RF Subsystems Integrated Product Team, ensuring the IPT is engaged and execution is efficient and agile. Additionally, the RF Engineering Manager will have review and approval authority over program plans, schedules, cost targets, and staffing.

The RF Engineering Manager will oversee antenna and RF subsystem component design & integration activities, including development of component-level and system-level requirements, test & verification plans, and manufacturing activities. They will apply leadership proficiency when interacting with IRCPS program management personnel, and simultaneously balance engineering efficiency and excellence with rapid requirements definitions.

The RF Engineering Manager will lead a diverse team of 10-15 engineers, analysts, and adjacent functional support organizations such as production, quality, and test, to ensure successful program achievement. The selected candidate will support proposal development, manage cost accounts, interact with customer teams and technical advisory forums, and participate in executive leadership reviews. Up to 25% travel may be required.

Basic Qualifications:
• Active Secret DoD clearance, and ability to obtain Top Secret
• Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering, or other relevant discipline, from an accredited university
• 3+ years of managing multi-functional teams of ten or more.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills. Highly organized and detail oriented.
• Ability to work in an environment with evolving requirements and dynamic schedules.
• Understanding of radome, antenna, RF/microwave flight hardware design, manufacturing, environmental testing (thermal, random vibe, shock, thermal vacuum) for spacecraft/space environments and knowledge of RF materials interactions in extreme aerospace environments.
• Experience in design, characterization and modeling of antenna and RF circuits using s-parameters, circuit integration and test using flight representative mock-ups and bench-top microwave equipment including spectrum and network analyzers.
• Prior experience of technical oversight of suppliers; and measurement and reporting of Earned Value Management (EVM) metrics.
Desired Skills:
• Active Top Secret DoD security clearance
• Experience with hypersonics or early-stage missile-based RF product development
• Knowledge or familiarity with antenna, RF circuit and link/synthesis analysis tools such as CST, FEKO (Computational Electromagnetics Software), ADS (Advanced Design System), HFSS (High Frequency Structure Simulator), AWR Microwave Office, STK (Systems Tool Kit), or similar tool packages.
• Proficiency conducting laboratory benchtop RF/antenna or similar prototyping, testing & iterative design modifications.
• Experience with hands-on hardware design and prototyping, including active and passive circuits, amplifiers, oscillators and modulators/demodulators
• Application of Full Spectrum Leadership initiatives
