What does this role look like?


Supply Chain’s vision is to enable customer and mission success through supply chain strategies and execution that deliver superior operational program performance and create competitive advantage through continuous improvement. It is our mission to deliver affordable supply chain solutions that meet all program requirements and manage supply chain risks to ensure positive supplier performance through all phases of the program life-cycle from capture to sustainment.


This role will offer you the following daily challenges:



o Primarily responsible for the evaluation of supplier proposals.
o Develop supplier capture strategy for pursuit of long-range objectives and strategic plans to ensure effective material integration on program campaign pursuits, and establish new or renewed contracts.
o Performs and documents price/cost analysis on a variety of proposals for development, production, and sustainment of major systems.
o Analyzes supplier's projected estimated costs for reasonableness, reviewing in detail the significant direct cost elements of material, labor, and special tooling.
o Evaluations of supplier proposals are provided to the government customer and used in prime proposal pricing.
o Develops negotiation strategies and concludes both supplier and prime negotiations to achieve company profit objectives and customer affordability goals.
o Represents organization as a Sub-contacts analysis supporting prime negotiations on contracts or projects.
o Interacts with senior internal and external personnel on significant matters often requiring coordination between organizations.
o Exerts influence on the overall proposal settlements which support Supply Chain objectives and long-range goals of the organization.
o Prevents erroneous decisions or failure to achieve objectives, which would normally have a serious effect upon the administration of the organization.
o Plan and participate in training of Price/Cost Analysis practices.
Basic Qualifications:
To be successful, you will need to possess these basic qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college.
• 3+ years of professional experience in supply chain management, pricing, costing, procurement, and/or contracts.
• Prior professional experience with data analysis.
• You will need to be a US Citizen and are able to obtain and maintain a US DoD TOP SECRET clearance, to support this government contract, as well as successfully pass a drug and background check, in order to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Desired Skills:
To be successful, ideally, you should also have:

• HIGHLY DESIRED: Current / Active Top Secret Clearance.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 6 years of professional experience; or 4 years of professional experience with a related Masters's degree.
• Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities
• Ability to analyze a problem and recommend solutions
• Ability to perform and apply cost accounting, pricing, and estimating concepts and principles.
• Ability to support fact-finding exercises as needed to review the basis of price/cost trends and development of key cost indicators.
• Ability to review Supplier proposals for Compliance
• Ability to successfully interact with various functional organizations (Program Office, Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain, etc.) in obtaining and providing information
• Willingness to work additional hours as required in support of aggressive proposal schedules
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Experience in or Knowledge of:
o Financial aspects of proposal pricing
o Material Planning
o Material Estimating
o Work Breakdown Structure (WBS)
o Indentured Parts List (IPL)
o Requirements associated with FAR 15 Certified Cost or Pricing Data
o Use of SAP systems/LM Procure to Pay (LMP2P)

Pay Rate:

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
