Job Responsibilities
Description:The RMS Commodity IPT representative is accountable for the end to end development, execution, and continuous improvement of a commodity category strategy in accordance with Lockheed Martin’s OneLM procurement model. The role drives agreement utilization, spend reduction, risk mitigation, ESG performance, and supplier performance excellence through a cross functional team that represents the four Business Areas (BA). The IPT Rep. ensures that all activities reinforce 1LM culture behaviors, meet Business Area priorities, and deliver measurable value to the organization and its customers.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Sourcing & Forecasting for assigned Commodity
• Develop and maintain a commodity level forecasting model that feeds the IPT’s sourcing plan.
• Align forecasts with Business Area priorities and LM demand planning processes.
• Translate forecast insight into sourcing tactics that maximize agreement coverage.
Agreement Execution & Maintenance
• Execute new and amendment LTAs, site agreements, and corporate agreements in line with forecasted demand.
• Maintain a living repository of active agreements; ensure all transactions are routed through the appropriate agreement.
• Conduct periodic agreement leakage reviews (using SCAA dashboard) and drive remediation actions.
Commodity Scorecard & Performance Management
• Contribute to the creation of a comprehensive scorecard covering cost savings, risk, compliance, innovation, speed, reliability, ESG, and quality.
• Provide input to the IPT for commodity scorecards on a regular cadence; report KPI trends to the IPT Champion and Director’s Council.
Market Research & Intelligence
• support market research activities, monitor supplier trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies.
• Partner with Category Management to turn insights into actionable sourcing recommendations.
Supplier Engagement & Performance
• Support commodity supplier engagement plans for strategic and non strategic suppliers (SRM & non SRM).
• Contribute to the support of ongoing performance assessments (OTD, quality, capacity, relationship health) and support improvement plans.
Spend Management & Transaction Optimization
• Leverage the SCAA dashboard to identify optimal suppliers and shift spend where authorized.
• Track commits, POLI, and total paid values per BA; ensure transactions align with the forecast and agreement strategy.
Communication & Reporting
• Support quarterly IPT updates (progress, KPI summaries, lessons learned, recommendations) to the IPT Champion; store on the Central Procurement IPT Teams Channel.
• Maintain ad hoc communication with BA counterparts and ensure timely information flow to the Director’s Council and other business rhythm requirements.
Governance & Alignment
• Coordinate with the IPT Leaders for strategy approvals and alignment with overall business objectives.
• Interface with Category Management, Supplier Relationship Management, Engineering/Quality, and other stakeholders to guarantee end to end alignment.
Measures of Success:
• Agreement utilization ≥ 98 % of category spend.
• Annual savings meeting or exceeding BA targets.
• OTD ≥ 95 % and quality defect rate ≤ 0.5 %.
• Demonstrated ESG and risk reduction improvements.
• Positive stakeholder feedback on cadence and communication.
• Accountable to IPT Champion deadlines and deliverables.
Basic Qualifications:
Strategic Sourcing demonstrated ability to forecast demand, execute and maintain long term agreements, and drive agreement utilization improvements.
Leadership & Communication Strong influence skills with senior leaders (IPT Champion, Director’s Council). Excellent written and verbal communication; experience preparing executive level status decks.
Analytical Skills to support commodity scorecards, conduct spend analytics, and synthesize market research into strategic actions.
Education Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field
Desired Skills:
Experience in category/commodity management, strategic sourcing, or procurement within a complex, matrixed aerospace/defense environment. Proven record leading cross functional teams across multiple BAs.
Technical Knowledge with LM procurement tools (SCAA dashboard, SAP/Ariba, P2P RFx). Deep understanding of LTAs, spot buy processes, and agreement leakage concepts.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $111,700 - $196,880. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
