Description:The candidate for the international Program, EADGE-T, must be able to design, develop and execute integration and test plan/procedures to verify and validate various test plans and training material.This System Integration/ Test Engineer Staff position will be responsible creating, updating and fixing functional and automation test software for user interface and web applications. Test related activities may also include front-end, back-end, performance, and regression testing of various software solutions using manual and/or automated test procedures. Must be familiar with Atlassian toolset (JIRA, Confluence, Fish-Eye, other), Git and Bitbucket. Virtual Private Network Environments (VPN) for testing, and Continuous Integration environment (Bamboo or Jenkins). The System Integration/Test Engineer requires significant interaction with various product teams supporting and delivering applications to the EADGE-T team. The candidate for the international Program, EADGE-T, must be able to design, develop and execute integration and test plans and automated procedures to verify and validate various test plans and training material.
Review functional specs and user stories to design and automate test plans and test cases/scripts. Analyze test results to identify options for improving the effectiveness of the test approach. Contribute to the setup, configuration, and maintenance of the Test Automation framework. Evaluate and test software using automation test practices to verify functionality and performance according to specifications and requirements. Attend daily standups and work with development, integration and teams to verify implementation of user stories. Complete work assignments and perform appropriate follow up to ensure that tasks are completed on time. Participate in review of standards, procedures, tools and process. The primary work location is in Colorado Springs, CO but some travel may be required including the potential for international travel.
Basic Qualifications:
Plan, execute, coordinate and manage automation testing strategies for multi-tiered applications. 3+ years of writing test scenarios and executing tests, both manually and with test automation tools. Experience using Sikuli, Eggplant or other user interface testing tools. Good experience with different Operating Systems, with emphasis on RHEL. Strong experience with end-to-end testing methodologies and test phases, including unit, assembly, system, integration, regression and performance testing. Ability to create accurate and detailed test-cases and test scripts. Strong communication skills and social acumen. Strong verbal and written communication.
Desired Skills:
Demonstrated ability aptitude in logical and analytical thinking, as well as display strong problem solving skills with experience in using diagnostic tools. Experience in designing, developing and executing functional test and automated scripts using test tools such as JMETER, JUNIT, SoapUI, other. Communicate defect status and updates with other development associates and collaborate on resolution. Enhance the test scripts and develop reusable user-defined functions. Experience in developing/scripting in common languages like Python, VB, JAVA, PERL, C++, etc. Experience in web-services and interface testing. Experience working within an agile development process (Scrum, XP, Kanban, etc.) from the test design, test automation, and execution perspective. Working knowledge of object oriented programming. Experience testing web-based applications using a number of desktop and mobile browsers (IE, Firefox, Chrome, etc.). Strong teamwork skills and ability to work on multi-discipline teams in a high paced environment.
