Description:Ability to work non-standard shifts is a requirement. May be asked to support other areas/work centers on NISSC II contract. Selected applicant will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Applicant may be required to pass initial and recurring evaluations to maintain employment.

Must have excellent technical and communications skills to effectively interface with internal and external customers at all levels. Must be able to work in a high visibility environment, focused on 24X7 mission availability, and quickly respond to customer direction/requests. Familiarity with military customs and courtesies desired.
Basic Qualifications:
Position requires TS/SCI security clearance.

DoD 8570.01-M IA Workforce Certification Type/Requirements: Candidate must meet minimum certification requirement for DoD Directive 8570, “Information Assurance Training, Certification, and Workforce Management”. This position requires a minimum certification associated with IAT Level I, which may be met with an A+, Network+ or higher. Candidate must possess a qualifying 8570 certification within 3 months of hire date. Initial certification expenses will not be covered by the NISSC II program.

Qualified candidate must have the ability to provide and oversee real time technical support to the NORAD-USNORTHCOM (N-NC) Global Command and Control System (GCCS) customers and data providers. This candidate will direct system administration, situational analysis, impact assessment, and issue resolution in support of 24X7 mission operations. Must have the ability to interface with a broad range of customers and effectively communicate, facilitate, and execute operations-focused tasks on behalf of mission leadership. The following technical skills are required:
- Ability to manage a 24x7 work center providing Situation Awareness to the N-NC Command Center and Joint Chiefs of Staff through training, scheduling and meeting deadlines.
- Background in system administration of Solaris, Unix, Linux, and Windows environments
- Experience with Windows multi-level Active Directory and Domain Name Service administration, VMWare, Solaris and/or Linux environments in order to direct daily operations
- Experience with LAN/WAN network architecture, services and access control lists
- Experience with securing, monitoring and auditing Windows and Solaris systems to prevent/detect malicious attacks or errors in the system
- Experience with planning upgrades and developing future capabilities
- Understanding of the N-NC Exercise requirements and rhythms as they pertain to GCCS and how to plan with no impact to daily operations.
- Must be able to work in a DoD mission-oriented environment centered on mission availability and quick response to customer reported issues while following all Air Force, DoD, and DISA policies and Instructions
- Excellent communications skills are required to address/provide status to DoD (military and civilian) personnel, document problems, and communicate with NISSC II program representatives.
Desired Skills:
IBM Mainframe experience desired.

Experience with supporting Command and Control environment is desired to include the Common Operational Picture (COP) and Agile Client. Experience with any of the following platforms/applications is a plus: LINUX, ESXi VMWare, and VSphere Virtual Center Server. Experience in project planning to assist in Exercise and upgrade planning.
