Software Config Analyst Staff

Description:Support Space Based Infrared System (SBIRS), Operations & Maintenance (O&M) and Development baselines. Maintain and control the programs documentation baseline via identification, control, auditing, and maintaining status accounting records. Candidate will support the technical analysis, design, implementation, and documentation related to both SW and HW CM disciplines. Create Build Control Documents (BCDs) for building both mission and OS/COTS software releases and creating install packages using ClearCase. Update Deficiency Reports (DRs) as required to document CM release processing steps and to report discrepancies via ClearQuest. Work closely with development and test teams to ensure all issues are resolved in a timely manner. Provide release planning inputs to ensure that required fixes are delivered in time to support key operational fielding milestones. Generate, track and ship all operational media for software installs. Maintain media safe inventory. Maintain program processes and procedures and ensure required periodic reviews are conducted. Maintain CM SharePoint site. Routinely track release metrics and lessons learned.

Other duties include,

1) Representing the organization via frequent interfaces with outside customers on day-to-day technical issues related to the program.

2) Perform studies, analyses, and/or prototyping as defined in specific task orders.

Perform work at a government facility. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Basic Qualifications:
Candidate must have experience with all aspects of Configuration Management (CM) to include identification, control, status accounting, and audits with ability to lead the team.
An understanding of ClearCase/ClearQuest baseline management and control.
The candidate must be a self starter with the ability to perform a wide range of technical challenges under only general direction.
In addition, the candidate should possess an understanding of Configuration Management (CM) processes and procedures, and have a general knowledge of other related engineering disciplines (i.e., systems, engineering, integration, and test).
Desired Skills:
1) Working knowledge of ClearCase/ClearQuest Baseline Control and Jira and Git. AIX, Solaris, Linux, MVS and Windows operating systems.
2. Access DB background
2) Familiar with ISO9001 and CMMi Level 5 processes
