Job Responsibilities

Job ID: 714000BR Date posted: Jan. 12, 2026
Description:WHAT WE’RE DOING
The Rotary and Mission Systems (RMS) Global Talent Acquisition team at Lockheed Martin is growing—and we’re looking for a Senior Technical Recruiter to support our Engineering & Technology organization. Our mission is simple and demanding: attract exceptional talent to work on some of the most complex, mission-critical technologies in the world.

This role sits at the intersection of technology, strategy, and human connection.

THE WORK
As a Senior Technical Recruiter supporting the Engineering & Technology organization, you will operate as a trusted talent advisor to leaders, candidates, and teammates. You’ll develop a deep understanding of the technologies, skill sets, and market dynamics you support—and use that insight to influence hiring strategy, guide leaders, and advocate for candidates.

You won’t simply fill open requisitions. You’ll learn the technology, understand the people who build it, and translate both into a compelling authentic story to share that helps the best candidates see themselves building a career at Lockheed Martin.

Your curiosity will drive you to ask better questions. Your judgment will help leaders make better decisions. Your sourcing skills will turn hard-to-find talent into meaningful connections.

Key responsibilities include:
• Own the full-cycle recruiting process for highly technical, engineering, and cleared positions—delivering a thoughtful, transparent, and positive candidate experience from first conversation through offer acceptance.
• Serve as a strong candidate advocate—setting clear expectations, sharing honest insights, and helping candidates evaluate best fit for both sides.
• Partner with hiring leaders to design and execute hiring strategies grounded in business needs, market realities, and long-term workforce planning.
• Build deep knowledge of the technical domains you support and use that expertise to advise leaders on talent availability, trade-offs, and creative approaches.
• Proactively source and engage top-tier talent using a mix of research, social platforms, licensed tools, and innovative outreach strategies.
• Develop and maintain robust talent pipelines to support both immediate hiring needs and future growth.
• Collaborate closely with TA Managers, HR Business Partners, and recruiting teammates to stay aligned on business priorities, workforce trends, and organizational changes.
• Partner with HR and compensation stakeholders to support offer development and negotiation within internal ranges, market value, and program affordability.
• Work seamlessly with TA specialists on compliance, onboarding, and related processes to ensure a smooth end-to-end experience.

WHO WE ARE
Our recruiting team is highly collaborative and deeply invested in one another’s success. We recruit in niche, highly technical domains that matter—roles that directly support global security and national defense.
Candidates are our customers. Their experience matters. We believe great recruiting is built on trust, curiosity, and human connection, and we approach our work as a team—never in silos.

WHO YOU ARE

You’re energized by the full recruiting lifecycle—from the first sourcing insight to the moment an offer is accepted. You’re curious by nature and want to understand why a role exists, how the technology works, and what motivates the people behind it.

You enjoy talking with candidates from the initial phone screen to the day they accept. You are energized by learning about the business and crafting sourcing strategies. You bring focus, resilience, and a “figure-it-out” mindset to complex and competitive hiring challenges.

You thrive in a “we” environment, value relationships, and take pride in telling compelling stories about people, teams, and missions. If you’re driven, candidate-focused, and motivated by meaningful work, you’ll find a strong home here.
Basic Qualifications:
• 5+ years of technical recruiting experience that includes using an enterprise ATS and CRM systems (i.e. BrassRing, Eightfold, SuccessFactors etc.).
• Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of recruiting and creating strategies to fill highly technical engineering roles.
• Ability to articulate how you build candidate relationships that set expectations, provide honest insights into our Total Value package, and help candidates assess how they fit the role.
• Experience influencing business stakeholders by designing and executing hiring strategies aligned with business needs, market conditions, and long term workforce plans.
• Proficiency with research techniques, social platforms, licensed recruiting tools, and innovative outreach methods to find top tier talent.
Desired Skills:
• Ability to build and maintain robust talent pipelines for immediate and future hiring demands.
• Proven track record working closely with Talent Acquisition (TA) Managers, HR Business Partners, and recruiting teammates to stay synced on priorities, trends, and organizational changes.
• Experience partnering with HR and compensation stakeholders to develop offers within internal ranges, market benchmarks, and program budgets.
• Familiarity with compliance, onboarding, and related processes, ensuring a smooth end to end experience for candidates and hiring teams.
• Understanding of the requirements and sensitivities associated with recruiting for cleared positions.
