Description:The ideal candidate can work individually or within a team on server centric issues on multiple networks. The candidate should be able to perform IA security remediation, troubleshoot system and network related issues. Perform daily operations and maintenance functions. Must possess or demonstrate the ability to obtain industry certifications and MS Server OS certification as required. Day staff position, Mondays – Fridays. Must be willing to work in a mixed (Government and contractor) crew environment and adhere to a mission critical schedule deadlines.

Exceptional MS Server administrative skills are required. In-depth understanding of Active directory and related services, e.g. DHCP, DNS, and Print, etc. are required. The candidate must be very well versed in VMware technology and NetApp storage devices. A comprehensive knowledge of SIPRNET, NIPRNET and NEN network servers and operations is critical.

May be asked to support other areas/work centers on NISSC II contract. The selected applicant will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. The candidate may be trained and must pass initial and recurring evaluations to maintain employment.

This individual will support 24x7x365 operations in Cheyenne Mountain Air Force Station (CMAFS) as a Systems or Network Engineer in the Server Support Group (SSG) within the Network Control Center (NCC). This position is responsible for maintaining critical servers and services within CMAFS. Responsible for deploying critical Microsoft updates and 3rd party patches to all workstations and servers maintained by the 21CS. Assist in troubleshooting any network issues on both classified and unclassified networks. Complete various network related projects, upgrades, and various maintenance related duties.

Work to be performed at the following location:
Cheyenne Mountain Air Force Station (CMAFS)

Perform additional duties as necessary.
Basic Qualifications:
DoD 8570.01-M IA Workforce Certification Type/Requirements: Candidate must meet minimum certification requirement for DoD Directive 8570, “Information Assurance Training, Certification, and Workforce Management”. This position requires a minimum certification associated with IAT Level II. Candidate must possess a qualifying 8570 certification within 3 months of hire date. Initial certification expenses will not be covered by the NISSC II program.

Top Secret/SCI clearance required
Desired Skills:
Experience with supporting Command and Control environment is desired.
