Description:This Cyber Security Analyst, Systems Administrator, or Network Engineer is responsible for all network security matters relating to the AFSPC NIPRNet, SIPRNet, and NEN networks in operations at Cheyenne Mountain Air Force Station. Responsibilities also include functioning as an Information Assurance (IA) engineer for all 21st CS systems and projects. Perform daily vulnerability assessment, threat assessment, mitigation and reporting activities in order to provide Computer Network Defense (CND) safeguards of information assets. Monitor virus/malware protection within client infrastructure and any pending virus/malware threats outside the environment. Provide incident response functions when appropriate and coordinate activities with client site personnel when directed by the government lead. Work as part of a collaborative team to strengthen links between knowledge sharing and systems to improve integration of current applications within the DoD clients. Monitor Audit logs of all assets for misuse/security issues and take appropriate actions to correct/mitigate identified security issues. Evaluate network asset compliance against DoD security guidelines/requirement and provide guidance to meet the required configuration.

- Maintain contractor shall maintain Information Assurance (IA) and industrial and physical security program requirements IAW the DD Form 254, Department of Defense Contract Security Classification Specification.
- Scan the networks and devices no less than monthly to perform vulnerability assessments; and install the latest releases and updates for the ACAS client SW or appropriate scanning tools.
- Report security incidents to the 21 CS OL-CM Information Assurance office; collect and gather information pertaining to network computer security incidents and spillages; perform incident cleanup actions and create the initial, follow-up and final report pertaining to each incident. The contractor shall contain and mitigate all security incidents across supported networks.
- Monitor Government provided network security tools such as but not limited to, E-SIEM, SPLUNK, Endpoint Security, to detect, analyze, assess and respond to threat events on the networks utilized by CMAFS. The contractor shall monitor Government provided network security tools such as but not limited to, E-SIEM, SPLUNK, Endpoint Security ACAS, to ensure proper system configurations, and ensure all exceptions to policy are documented and approved before implementation. The contractor shall ensure all Government provided network security tools such as but not limited to E-SIEM, SPLUNK, Endpoint Security, ACAS, are under the network security team for operation and configuration.
- Check for dormant network and computer accounts and report them to IA for review to be disabled or removed from the network IAW DISA STIGS.
- Run STIG Compliance Checks against all O7M devices and provide the findings to ISG/SSG for remediation
Basic Qualifications:
Must possess Top Secret/SCI DoD clearance.
The Network Security Work Center IA Security function provides activities to receive, track, and respond to Information Assurance vulnerabilities to include those reported on Notice To Airmen (NOTAMS), Time Compliance Network Order (TCNO), Information Assurance Vulnerability Alert (IAVA), Mission Tasking Order (MTO), Cyber Control Order (CCOs), N-NC TASKORDS, and CYBERCOM TAKORDS.

Technical Background:
Working knowledge of anti-virus software functionally and capabilities.
Working knowledge of DoD CND tools, e.g. VMS, ACAS, CMRS, SCCM, QTIP, and HBSS. Working knowledge of DoD network security requirements such as SRG and STIGs.
Ability to work non-standard shifts is a requirement.

May be asked to support other areas/work centers on NISSC II contract. Selected applicant will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Applicant will be trained and must pass initial and recurring evaluations to maintain employment.
Perform additional duties as necessary

Basic understanding of an Enterprise network architecture, network protocols, and information technology. Perform monitoring and management of networks, workgroup servers, and clients.
Independently determines and develops approach to solutions with established guidance. Work is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives.

Must be willing to work in a mixed (Government and contractor) crew environment and adhere to a mission critical schedule.



DoD 8570.01-M IA Workforce Certification Type/Requirements: Candidate must meet minimum certification requirement for DoD Directive 8570, “Information Assurance Training, Certification, and Workforce Management”. This position requires a minimum certification associated with IAT Level II. Candidate must possess a qualifying 8570 certification within 3 months of hire date. Initial certification expenses will not be covered by the NISSC II program.
Desired Skills:
Experience with supporting Command and Control environment is desired.
