Job Responsibilities
Description:The C4ISR Global Command & Control (GC2) Business Development role is responsible to lead the planning and execution of new business opportunities across Allies & Partners based in the Indo-Pacific. This includes supporting offer designs, cross-functional coordination, capture plan development and execution, and internal deal development and approval. The GC2 growth campaign is complex, with multi-phased opportunities to help Allies enable Joint All Domain warfighting capabilities. It brings together best-of-breed capabilities from all four LM business areas and a broader industry team. The GC2 Business Development role will assist in coordinating and collaborating across functions, lines of business and business areas to ensure clear communication of activities / opportunities and alignment to customer objectives and business goals.
The Indo-Pacific Business Development position will support Global Command and Control (GC2) growth by managing a pipeline of international opportunities. This includes:
• Proactive and responsive engagement with international customers, influencers and related stakeholders in the various opportunities, and related market research to identify, qualify, and shape the opportunities to maximize Lockheed Martin (LM) probability of winning by ensuring LM offerings meet customer needs and preferences. This includes conducting and participating in customer value proposition workshops in support of effective customer assessments; and managing contact plans to ensure appropriate customer contacts in support of business goals.
• Strong technical or operational background working with command and control systems and understanding of system architectures.
• Researching and organizing competitive intelligence, to include organizing and participating in Black Hat competitive assessments and leading or supporting position-to-win (PTW) efforts.
• Establishing, refining, and implementing capture plans and strategies in support of individual captures, and contributing to higher-level strategies for the market segment.
• Maintaining current and accurate documentation of opportunities using opportunity management tools, e.g., LMBridge / Opportunity Hub.
• Staying familiar with, and implementing for captures within their portfolio, the LM Win Plan.
• Managing new business funds (NBF) authorized to support captures within the portfolio, to include Market Assist (MA), Bid & Proposal (B&P), Independent Research and Development (IRAD), and Capital investments. This is an end-to-end responsibility from planning future years' needs across the portfolio to specific needs for individual opportunities; using available tools to document and request the NBF.
• Driving and supporting the development of business cases in support of individual opportunities, to ensure new business meets financial targets.
• Collaborating with other functions within the C4ISR business, e.g. International Trade Compliance, Engineering & Technology, Finance, Contracts, Legal, Program Management, Sourcing to ensure the accomplishment of opportunity- and strategy-related milestones.
• Participating in, and often leading, proposal development efforts in support of capturing new business; includes writing or contributing to proposal volumes and leading and participating in proposal-related color teams.
This is a US-based role that requires domestic and international travel (25-50%) to include travel to Indo-Pacific region countries (Japan, Australia, Taiwan, Korea, Philippines, etc.).
Basic Qualifications:
• Ability to understand and interpret requirements and relate them back to campaign strategies
• Demonstrated experience driving tasks to closure with resourceful solutions to problems
• Demonstrated ability to prepare and deliver briefs to executives with appropriate level of messaging
• Demonstrated ability to execute multiple internal or external deliverables simultaneously
• Demonstrated ability to independently lead customer deliverables, workshops, demonstrations, exercises, and other shaping activities
• Willing and able to work independently and with teams, to take the initiative within the bounds of mission requirements and resources
• Willing and able to initiate customer communications and develop longer-term understanding and relationships in support of business goals
• Demonstrated ability to form and maintain successful customer relationships
• Demonstrated experience working with a cross-organization and cross-functional team
• Excellent communication with an ability to negotiate and work with a variety of stakeholders
• Willing / able to do domestic and international travel 25-50% of time in support of customer contacts
Desired Skills:
• Familiarity with the LM Win Plan
• US military experience operating or maintaining C2 systems for Integrated Air and Missile Defense and/or Long Range Fires
• Experience with International Trade Compliance, requesting/developing export licenses, and ensuring all international activities are conducted within the guidelines of export control policies and laws
• Demonstrated capture experience
• Experience doing business in the Indo-Pacific region
• A thorough understanding of regional government processes, policies and the unique political landscape, and the strategic issues impacting countries in the Indo-Pacific region
• Ability to direct and enable International Strategy & Business Development and Lockheed Martin Government Affairs (LMGA) to ensure common objectives and successes in region

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $109,200 - $192,510. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year. This position is incentive plan eligible.
