The Meridian Engineering Program Manager (EPM) supports the execution of the program based on established product requirements and priorities. They work with the other leadership on the team to coordinate and manage dependencies, priority/scope shifts, processes, and resources. The EPM works very closely with the IPT leads during design, integration, and test to remove impediments, solve day-to-day challenges, and analyze metrics for corrective actions or program reporting. The EPM ensures the end products are delivered, are timely, within budget, and meeting expectations.
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Shape the foundational engineering aspects for an advanced military satellite communications (SATCOM) system. The position encompasses leadership in large systems of systems and ground systems engineering to include design, integration, and test at system, segment and element levels.
• Serve as a liaison between program management team and engineering IPTs
• Oversee the progress and timely completion of all Program Increment (PI) objectives and program milestones
• Lead engineering staff training and development in the areas of the program mission, agile development processes/tools, engineering tools, and career growth
• Participate in programmatic processes (ERB, ROMB, CCB)
• Monitor and manage the progress of the engineering teams
o Analyze performance and report performance metrics to the PM team
o Analyze the use and effectiveness of the engineering and integration processes and suggest process improvements to make the engineering process more efficient
• Assist the IPT Leadership in identifying internal/external candidates for open engineering positions
• Assist the IPT Leadership in maintaining the VEMO system
• Participate in customer meetings and multi-segment engineering working groups to produce the best solutions that meet quality standards and mission requirements
• Work with the IPT Leadership to define longer-term systems of systems and ground systems engineering direction and strategy for the integrated teams that perform Systems, Software and Hardware engineering, Integration & Test, Quality Assurance, IT Operations, DevSecOps and end-user operations support
• Support the IPT Leadership in the design, development, integration, documentation, and testing at the system, ground segment, and element levels
• Apply the appropriate system, integration, and development standards (Lockheed and USG), processes, procedures, and digital engineering tools throughout the development life cycle
Basic Qualifications:
• Significant experience leading/managing systems-engineering & integration efforts
• Significant experience leading/managing mid- to large-scale program development efforts
• Significant experience designing, delivering and supporting classified engineering results via collaboration with cross-program, multi-discipline staff
• Demonstrate broad understanding of modern Systems Engineering/Software Engineering/Integration/QA processes and concepts
• Significant experience with EVM, standing up/monitoring program baselines, monthly financial rhythms
• Knowledge of Space Systems
• Experience using the VEMO staffing tool
Desired Skills:
• Experience working with Space Force or Air Force on space protected communication systems
• Strategic thinker that can relate technology solutions to customer use cases
• Agile product centric development structures and continuous improvement experience
• Good balance of IQ & EQ to be able to solve both technical and social challenges
• Significant experience working with external and internal customers and stakeholders to define, deliver and optimize systems for classified missions
• Previous experience as a leader of leaders
• Experience planning and managing technical effort’s schedule, metrics and budget as a IPT Lead
• Experience with DevSecOps solutions, systems, integration, and principles
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and solve cross-program staffing and technical challenges with diverse teams and skillsets
• Experience supporting multiple contract types: FFP, CPAF, etc.
• Experience with subcontracting process and subcontractors
• Experience with staffing cross-functional teams

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $122,900 - $216,660. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year. This position is incentive plan eligible.
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $141,300 - $244,835.
