Would you like the opportunity to work with a leading team as a Defensive Cyberspace Operations (DCO) Trainer at Schriever AFB?

In this role, you will:

• Establish procedures to provide a cyber-defense training program and curriculum.
• Provide an understanding of the DCO analytical mindset, demonstrated proficiency in DCO fundamentals, crew commander familiarization, protect, detect, or respond tasks, and readiness to sit crew.
• Update, maintain, and develop the mission system Operational Crew cyber training documentation including but not limited to, course syllabi, presentation slides, student handouts, assessments, etc..
• Submit a materials development and maintenance process e.g. module development, Government Reviews, Beta courses, etc.
• Provide technical assistance, upon request, to defensive cyber operations personnel in order to assist in the creation and maintenance of the operational crew training curricula.
• Instruct in-person courses according the Government’s training schedule.
• Write scenarios for training purposes, such as fighting through a particular cyber threat, and construct and configure any necessary virtual network threat, traffic, intrusions, etc. necessary to execute the scenario, as well as instruct student in other training and course materials.
• Support all mission system exercise, rehearsals, real-world and contingency operations and mission assessments that require DCO/cyber defense involvement.
Basic Qualifications:
• Familiarity with DoD policy and guidance.
• Experience with cyber security course development.
• DoDI 8570.01-M - IAT-II Certification (e.g. Sec+).
• Training with a SIEM technology.
• Knowledge, training, or certifications with common cyber security tools.
Desired Skills:
• Experience with space mission systems.
• Experience with Security Operations Center (SOC) environments.
• Experience instructing in a classroom environment
• Experience with a Cybersecurity Service Provider (CSSP)
