We're seeking an experienced RF Engineer to join our team as an Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead. In this role, you'll help drive the Development, Verification, Production, and Sustainment of complex multi-function modules used in high-reliability applications. This will require leading cross-functional engineering teams to deliver innovative solutions. Our team is composed of industry-leading RF design experts, and we offer a unique work environment that combines cutting-edge design with hands-on electronics laboratory testing and product development. What You Will Be Doing

The Staff RF Engineer IPT Lead is responsible for:

• Providing Technical Leadership to a cross-functional team of all Engineering disciplines.

• Leading the development and production of complex multi-function microwave modules in all phases of the product life cycle by managing cost and schedule.

• Working on complex technical problems and providing innovative solutions.

• Supporting technical reviews internally, with the customer and external stakeholders, and at supplier locations.

• Mentoring less experienced engineers on our team.

• Serving as the primary interface with both the Engineering & Technology Leadership and with Program Management to ensure that the multi-year phased program is on track to successfully complete milestones.

• Leading and/or supporting internal and external customer meetings, weekly IPT status, Technical Interchange Meetings, Technical Readiness Reviews, and critical program Failure Review Boards, Risk management, and Mission Success Reviews.

Further Information About This Opportunity:

This position is in Chelmsford, Massachusetts - Located approximately 30 miles northwest of Boston, Chelmsford embodies New England charm. Situated near historic Lowell, Massachusetts and Nashua, New Hampshire, the area offers a unique blend of colonial history, excellent schools, shopping, and dining options.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance. A company-sponsored Interim Secret is required to start.
Basic Qualifications:
Post Secondary STEM degree with a minimum of 5+ years of experience.

Must have an Active DoD Secret or Top Secret Clearance with full investigation within the last 5 years.

Experience designing or supporting the production of active RF modules, circuits or systems.

Experience with validating and troubleshooting designs and resolving integration issues for RF applications.

Minimum of 1+ years technical multidisciplinary project leadership experience for highly complex hardware, electronics, RF or mechanical projects with little oversight.

You should have experience fostering close working relationships with associate IPT Leads, functional Managers, and customer counterparts.
Desired Skills:
An advanced degree in engineering from an accredited college or university is desired.

Relevant experience in the defense electronics industry, including architecture development for RF systems.

Experience in leading or presenting at technical reviews and boards is desired.

Experience with the use of RF microwave test equipment and microwave simulation tools.

Prior experience with RF Sensor or Active Module/Subsystems development is desired.

Experience in planning and leading technical solutions from proposal through all aspects of development. This includes SRR, PDR, CDR, Qualification, System Verification & Test, FCA, and transition to production.

Experience in leading Failure Analysis and Failure Review Boards.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $123,500 - $217,695. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $142,000 - $246,100. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
