Description:Lockheed Martin is experiencing some substantial growth at our campus in Chelmsford, MA. We have a great opportunity for an industrial painter to take their career to the next level! This position is open to both part time and full time 1st shift applicants. This role works under minimum supervision to effectively coat surface of parts, assemblies, and finished products with protective or decorative materials such as paint, conformal coat, irridite, varnish, enamel, lacquer, dope, or stain using spray gun.
Other responsibilities include cleaning and preparation of surfaces before coating. May select and mix coating material and coat areas inaccessible to hand sprayer using brush or roller. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
Basic Qualifications:
• Spray painting experience
• Ability to pass a respirator exam
• Familiarity with ESD & FOD protection requirements
• Ability to work under a microscope as required to utilize hand tools such as torque drivers, tweezers and other similar tools; Good eye/hand coordination
• Ability to read and work from detailed process sheets and drawings; Good computer skills are required to support retrieval of drawings and work instructions as well as other job activities
• Ability to work in a diverse team environment; Good interpersonal, teaming and communication skills
• Candidate must be able to obtain a Secret Security Clearance and must have at least an Interim Secret Security clearance prior to start therefore the candidate must be a US citizen.
Desired Skills:
• Military spray-painting experience including large and small guns
• Experience with automated or manual equipment to apply conformal coat to circuit card assemblies
• Experience handling electronic assemblies such as circuit cards and boxes populated with electronics
