Description:About the Role:
This position is for a Chief Engineering Manager for the obsolescence redesign activities across the Dual Telemetry Unit (DTU), Multi-Radio Frequency Datalink Redesign (MRFDLR) Radio Frequency (RF) Slice, and DTU mass simulant programs. The successful candidate will report to the PAC-3 Hardware Chief Engineer and be expected to work closely with the other members of the LTIAMD Chief Engineer staff to ensure synergy across tasks and to communicate lessons learned.
What You Will Be Doing
As the DTU and MRFDLR RF Slice Obsolescence Chief Engineer, you will be responsible for:
• Leading technical team to accelerate execution, design, producibility improvements, qualification, and transition to production for rate increase of 2000 PAC-3 missiles/year
• Leading successful demonstration of development and customer milestones; including technical reviews, integration/test, Design Verification Test (DVT), Qualification, and Functional Configuration Audit (FCA)
• Guiding IPT leads and cross-functional teams in program planning, scheduling, trade studies, design concepts, and critical life cycle reviews
• Coordinating engineering, manufacturing, test, logistics, and support functions across MFC sites
• Developing and nurturing a productive partnership with the USG customer
• Ensuring program staffing is appropriate from an E&T perspective
• Collaborating with Engineering Excellence management to ensure program milestones are successfully completed
• Communicating lessons learned and ensuring synergy across tasks with the Chief Engineer staff
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide end to end technical leadership for the obsolescence redesign, producibility, and production rate increase process
• Lead or support customer briefings, weekly IPT status updates, Technical Interchange Meetings, Technical Readiness Reviews, and other critical program reviews
• Participate in Failure Review Boards, Risk Management, and Mission Success Reviews
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you must:
• Demonstrate ability to lead technical efforts with cross-functional teams with an emphasis on hardware design and manufacturing processes.
• Show a strong understanding of Full Spectrum Leadership principles (technical, people, business, strategic).
• Possess technical expertise in design and producibility of Radio Frequency (RF) systems
• Communicate technical status and issues internally to program leadership, technical leadership and functional leadership as well as externally to the customer.
• Demonstrate experience in planning and leading technical solutions from proposal through all aspects of development including SRR, PDR, CDR, Qualification, System Verification & Test, FCA and transition to production
• Possess experience and initiative to ensure technical leadership and support for the development process

Basic Qualifications:
• Have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited college or university, with existing professional experience
• Experience and demonstrated skillset with RF requirements, development, integration/test, production, and qualification activities
• Ability to communicate technical status and issues internally to program leadership, technical leadership and functional leadership as well as externally to the USG customer
• Must be available for occasional domestic travel
• Candidate must have a Secret clearance
• Experience in leading Failure Analysis and Failure Review Boards
Desired Skills:
• An advanced degree in engineering from an accredited college or university is desired
• Prior experience at Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control is highly desired
• Familiarity and knowledge of Air & Missile Defense systems, and interceptors is strongly desired
• Familiarity with PAC-3 Systems Engineering, and PAC-3 Hardware Release processes is strongly desired
• Working knowledge of dealing with subcontractors and subcontract technical management is a plus
• Candidate should have wide experience/familiarity in collaborating with the Engineering & Technology functional organization
• Ability to interface with the USG Customer office and global supply base
• Ability to support technical reviews internally, with the customer, and external stakeholders, and at supplier locations

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $139,600 - $246,100. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $160,500 - $278,300. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
