Description:The Engineering & Technology (E&T) Senior Manager Functional Site Lead plays a pivotal role in ensuring the successful execution of various programs within the Chelmsford, Massachusetts site location. Reporting directly to the Missiles and Fire Control Multifunctional Engineering Director with matrix reporting responsibilities to the Chelmsford Site Director, this position is responsible for providing strategic and tactical direction to a multi-functional engineering team, ensuring the site meets or exceeds quality, cost, schedule, and performance goals. This role offers an excellent developmental leadership opportunity with the intent to rotate to a new assignment after 3-5 years. This position is responsible for the successful execution of IRAD, development, transition-to-production, full rate production, and sustainment programs across the site. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, technical expertise, program management, and the ability to foster a culture of innovation and collaboration across all site functions. The preferred candidate will be a strong change agent for improving the technical operations and capabilities of RF technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and Talent Development
- The Senior Manager site lead will lead an organization of ~135 employees across multiple engineering disciplines to include but not limited to RF Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical/Component Engineering, Software/Firmware Engineering, Integration & Test Engineering (IT&E) to include Automated Test Equipment (ATE), and Configuration Management.
- Develop and mentor engineering talent across multiple disciplines, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
- Collaborate with other Engineering and Technology sections, programs, and enterprise initiatives to share best practices and drive organizational success.
- Drive initiatives for digital transformation and implement tools to enhance development methodologies, increasing business agility and productivity.

Technical Expertise and Collaboration
- Maintain the organization's RF/MW and data link technical expertise, staying abreast of industry trends and advancements.
- Work closely with project managers, program managers, and Engineering Leads to provide technically competent personnel to projects, programs, and proposals.
- Foster relationships with industry stakeholders, universities, and government labs to stay informed of emerging technologies and opportunities for collaboration.

Employee Management and Performance
- Oversee all aspects of talent management including recruitment, retention, performance management, and career development.
- Serve as an effective mentor and coach for employees at all levels, providing guidance and support to foster professional growth.
- Lead employee performance management processes, including salary adjustments, promotions, training, disciplinary actions, and terminations.

Engineering Initiatives and Change Management
- Drive engineering initiatives to enhance technical operations and capabilities, serving as a change agent for continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to identify and implement strategies for optimizing engineering processes and workflows.
- Lead the integration of oneLM tools and methodologies to streamline operations and drive efficiency across the organization.
- Maintain relevant contact within industry, universities, and customer areas including the Government labs.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 15 or more years of professional experience
- DoD Secret security clearance with ability to obtain DoD Top Secret clearance
- Proven track record of successfully leading multi-functional engineering teams and delivering complex projects on schedule and within budget.
- Strong technical background in RF technologies with a deep understanding of digital transformation and modern engineering methodologies.
- Earned Value Management Experience
Desired Skills:
- Leadership experience with at least two of the following product lifecycle environments (Development, Transition-to-production, LRIP, FRP)
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
- Previous leadership experience as a Program Manager or Chief Engineer
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to resolve conflicting priorities with complex resource constraints
- Advanced degree in engineering or related discipline
- Demonstrated experience with product affordability and digital transformation
- IPT or cross-functional leadership experience
- Demonstrated experience leading change management initiatives for process improvement and organizational growth.
- Experience in talent management, including recruitment, performance management, and employee development.
- Understanding of Design Assurance Practices
- Six Sigma Certification
- Experience with Automated Test Equipment (ATE) and production test methodology
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Top Secret

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
