Learn about the Trident II D5 Fleet Ballistic Missile.Perform Systems Engineering functions in support of the U.S. Trident II (D5) Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) Program. This position will be learning and maintaining the Missile/Nuclear Safety Architecture through participation in a vast array of efforts throughout the product/project lifecycle (i.e. requirements definition design reviews, system testing, production, failure review boards, problem investigations, etc.). This position will assist in Model Based Systems Engineering activities for Nuclear safety. Responsibilities include learning and understanding Nuclear Safety Critical Functions, reviewing design changes and assessing impacts to the Nuclear Safety Critical Functions. This position will create presentations and present to various levels of management and customers.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or closely related technical field
• Experience with reviewing technical documentation, including drawings and schematics.
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience with technical reviews
• Experience with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Ability to obtain Top Secret Clearance
Desired Skills:
• Experience in system safety / nuclear safety engineering on US Air Force (USAF) or Navy Nuclear Weapons Programs and compliance strategies that integrate with DoD requirements
• Experience in developing FMEA's, Subsystem / System-level Hazard Analyses, Fault Tree Analyses, Bent Pin Analyses, and/or Software Safety Assessments.
• Technical writing skills and experience
• Experience with Integrated Master Schedules
• Familiarity with MBE
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills, strong social skills, and ability to build consensus among peers while building solid relationships with team members
• Active Top Secret security clearance
• Experience with the Navy safety process.
• Experience with working with Navy customer.
• Strong presentation skills.
• Experience with electrical analysis.
Other Important Information You Should Know Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed.
