Reentry Project Engineer-Deputy Program Lead

Description:The selected individual will support the Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) Mk4A Shape Stable Nose Tip (SSNT) Production Program Leader as the deputy.

The objective of the program is to replace the nosetip of the Mk4A with a SSNT to improve performance. Fleet deployed Mk4A Reentry body will be received, disassembled, and replaced with a Mk4A SSNT nosetip.

The selected individual will report to the Mk4A SSNT Program Lead. Management responsibilities will include Risk and Opportunity Management (ROM) and coordination with Reentry ROM Board, Program Action Item Tracking (FAIT) and closure coordination personnel oversight; budget planning in coordination with Program Cost Account Manager, tracking and reporting; helping define work scope
Basic Qualifications:
The candidate must have a technical Bachelor's degree in engineering or relevant job experience in lieu of a degree

The candidate must have excellent communication, presentation, and people skills

The candidate must have EVM, Risk and Opportunity management experience

The candidate must be able to travel (at least 1 week every month)

The candidate must demonstrate Full Spectrum Leadership qualities
Desired Skills:
It is desired that the candidate have previous knowledge and experience with Fleet Ballistic Missile programs

It is desired that the candidate is familiar with Navy SSP customer and associated contractors NNSA, SNL, LANL
