The Threat Manager supports the Counterintelligence, Insider Threat, Workplace Violence and Investigative programs and strategy ensuring alignment with Corporate.

This position will serve as the primary Space Threat Manager. The candidate will oversee Threat Management and Workplace Violence program and will coordinate necessary Threat Management Team (TMT) meetings across the Space Business Area. Additionally, in collaboration with CIT leadership, the candidate will proactively enhance the Space Threat Management program through training and awareness efforts with various programs and functions highlighting threat management trends, anonymized LM cases, and LM services available to employees while sharing the early warning signs and the value of early intervention.

The Threat Manager coordinates the Space TMT in collaboration with functional members of the team including Leadership, HR, Legal, and Medical to assess and mitigate potential workplace violence risks across the enterprise. The Threat Manager also supports traditional internal investigations when not fully engaged with threat management cases.

The Threat Manager demonstrates integrity and sensitivity of diverse cultures; performs detailed work with accuracy; exercises sound judgment in safeguarding confidential and sensitive information; and exercises diplomacy when dealing with people in sensitive situations. The candidate makes recommendations to leaders/decision makers on methodologies, results, and conclusions from applied operations research. They will ensure investigations and threat management activities are thoroughly performed and properly documented for business reference and quality. They develop threat management strategy, training, and job aids, perform thorough and prompt investigations of alleged misconduct, deviation from company policy, and ensures findings are documented in written investigation reports. They are responsible for analyzing data and drawing conclusions supported by facts.
Basic Qualifications:
• Significant experience in violence prevention, internal investigations or related security intelligence roles.
• Demonstrated experience conducting behavioral threat assessments in corporate, medical, educational, or law enforcement environments.
• Proficiency in investigative report writing.
• Knowledge of legal issues relating to investigations.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with ability to adapt communication and interviewing methods to situation at hand.
• Ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance; must be a U.S. Citizen.
Desired Skills:
• Experience leading or participating in LM Threat Management Teams with multiple functions.
• Demonstrated ability to verbally and concisely articulate complex issues to a variety of audiences.
• Experience with behavioral, threat, and mental health factors and indicators that contribute to and mitigate workplace violence risk.
• Active member of the Association of Threat Assessment Professionals (ATAP).
• TS/SCI clearance.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $117,200 - $206,770. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $134,900 - $233,680. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
