Interested in joining us as a Systems Engineer? If so, you will be responsible for the Avionics Tactical Electronics Hardware as the Chief Test Engineer, reporting directly to the Missile Electronics Engineering Production Manager.

• You will own and lead the FBM Test Readiness Reviews for Avionics Tactical Hardware Production, and serve as the POC to the FBM program for Avionics.

• You will be responsible for the rigors and disciplines of test engineering standard methodologies for all test anomalies incurred during production

• You will represent Avionics UVFs to the FBM program along with the CPE, and ensure each CPE is ready to promote and close UVFs to the FBM UVF board

• You will participate in the negotiation of contract and contract changes and coordinate the preparation of proposals, proposal work statements, fact finding, and basis of estimates.

• You will chair LE Production FRB’s

• You will support the CPEs to guarantee all Package level UVF’s are appropriately handled and closed in a timely manner

• You will partner with customer and MFO’s regarding test disciplines

• You will provide FBM package level anomaly metric data weekly, and review trends for root cause to identify systemic concerns early. Metrics include the timely closure of all FRBs.

• You will coordinate with other organizations as required for anomaly resolutions support such as Flight Sciences, Reliability, Specialty, M&P, SEIT, Failure diagnosis labs.

• Together with Mission success POC, ensure all FRB insight is provided with the special review of potential UVFs.

• You will mentor and develop each CPE in the rigors and disciplines required for successful FRB execution, review, coordination and timely closure.

• You will promptly post all FRB minutes, and ensure all FAST items are updated by the CPEs for each FRB.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education
• Combined experience of 9 years in electronics hardware development, test, integration, test and production.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience leading anomaly/failure investigations at an electronics package level. As lead called and directing all Failure Review board activities including the analysis and testing required.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in development, presentation of presentation materials covering detailed design descriptions of electronics packages, performance requirements, anomaly description, root cause determination and follow on corrective actions.
• If selected, you will need to obtain a Secret clearance, thus US Citizenship is required.

Desired Skills:
• Analog and/or digital design, analysis and testing experience is highly desired.
• Experience performing formal root cause analysis
• Experience with automated test management software (Test Stand, Test Studio, or MATLAB)
• Applicant should have some digital and analog board and box level experience.
• Experience with Missile flight electronic components and power distribution subsystems a plus.
• 5 years of subcontract electronic component development experience.
• Familiar with the LMSSC CPE Program and other engineering processes and disciplines.
• Previous experience as a CPE of analog and digital electronics is desired.
• Experience in different phases of aerospace electronic component development cycle. Knowledge of front-end product development, including generation of requirements and interfaces, mechanical and thermal packaging, analog and digital design, and transition to production experience.
• Applicant will be expected to be capable of understanding and evaluating information provided by the subcontractor and to make recommendation to LM FBM management based on their inputs.
• Ability to produce and present informal al status briefings to both LM Program Management and Customer.
• Ability to articulate complex technical issues to subordinates, peers, management, subcontractors and customers.
