Description:Staff Systems Architect and Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) Technical Lead responsible for contributing to MBSE implementation for the Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) Common Missile Compartment (CMC) Special Test Vehicle (STV) project. The successful candidate will function as the Technical Lead for an Architecture & Modeling team. This candidate will lead the team in employing LM and DoD standard Systems Architecture framework(s) and MBSE approaches to developing Systems Engineering products using the Systems Modeling Language (SysML), DOD Architecture Framework (DODAF) and LM-standard MBSE tools to capture, maintain, and visualize a total system solution within an integrated system model to communicate the design and facilitate automation of Systems Engineering integration with other domains. The candidate will also function as the primary technical POC for the team in working with the LM Space and FBM program MBSE teams to ensure that all CMC MBSE products share the same architecture framework and standards.
As a CMC Program Staff Systems Architect and MBSE Lead, you will:
• Play a leading role in transforming the CMC Program into a fully Model-Based organization, including the rapid implementation of the "Full Digital Thread" from Concept & Requirements all the way through to Model-based Manufacturing, Integration, Verification & Deployment
• Work as a thought leader and pathfinder to develop, optimize & demonstrate best practices and modern MBSE processes & standards for incorporation into the wider FBM & Strategic & Missile Defense (SMD) organizations
• Integrate and work collaboratively with the FBM MBE Core Team and associated Communities of Practice to demonstrate the adoption of modern industry standards and emerging technologies
• Have access to advanced training and/or certifications in the areas of MBSE and Systems Architecture as part of a talent pipeline of certified Systems Engineers and System Architects

Basic Qualifications:
• Systems Modeling software experience (Cameo/MagicDraw/Rhapsody)
• Experience in performing multiple Systems Engineering functions, such as:
a.) System Trade studies and/or System modeling
b.) System architecture or CONOPS development
c.) Requirements and Interface Control Document (ICD) development
d.) System Integration, Test and/or Verification
e.) Design reviews
• Using SysML and a standard architecture framework such as DODAF in a number of program phases, or on several programs
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong social skills, and ability to build consensus among peers while building solid relationships with team members
• Experience with process development and deployment
• Ability to obtain Top Secret
Desired Skills:
• Master’s Degree in Systems Engineering, Systems Architecture, INCOSE Certification, or relevant Graduate Certificate
• Lockheed Martin Architecture Development Qualification Program (ADQP) qualification
• Experience with FBM and/or CMC program and the US Navy customer, or another related program
• Experience working through the full lifecycle phases of a Missile program preferably for the US Government
• Experience applying Lockheed Martin Systems Engineering processes related to this position
• Proficiency in the following engineering tools: DOORS, MATLAB, Model Center
• Missile system design and test experience with one or more subsystems or disciplines outside of Systems Engineering
• Ability to lead multi-functional teams, build strong relationships with team members and build consensus among peers
• Experience with Object-Oriented Systems Engineering Method (OOSEM)
• Object Management Group (OMG) Certified System Modeling Professional (OCSMP) certification
• Demonstrated behaviors of a systems thinker; selects and applies appropriate systems thinking skills to solve very complex problems and implement constructive change
• Demonstrated experience working on a Missile system program
• Leading application of MBSE approaches on Systems Engineering teams
• Leading modeling efforts and organizing system models on MBSE programs
• Leading MBSE analysis and execution with system models
• Active DoD Top Secret clearance
