Description:QA Engineer (QE) for Aerostructures Product Center at Sikorsky based in Bridgeport, CT. This position will report directly to the Aerostructures Product Center Quality Manager.

The QE will be expected to communicate with team members, support senior management and in some cases, directly with the customer.

At a minimum, the QE will be expected to:

Work with the area data analytics and metrics lead to support quality meetings including monthly CCAB, weekly High Drivers, and aircraft matrix reviews.

Act as supplier QE interface to resolve supplier issues tied directly to manufacturing

Investigate shop floor quality issues to assign
responsibility and determine Root Cause and Corrective Action. Perform QE functions for Daily Review teams.

Basic Qualifications:
A self-starter with the ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment with minimal supervision.
• BS degree from an accredited college in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with at least 1 year of professional experience.
• Organized and detail oriented with the ability to multi-task in a matrix reporting structure.
• Ability to develop technical solutions to complex problems.
• Ability to understand and communicate typical engineering/manufacturing concepts and processes.
• Experience in Engineering, Operations, Quality, or Aerospace.
• Effective communication skills. Ability to structure, prepare and deliver compelling and clear communications to all levels of management, suppliers and customers.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Proficient in MS Office products (Word, Excel, Power Point and Access).
• Knowledge and experience using quality tools (DIVE RRCA, 5 why's).
Desired Skills:
• Knowledge and experience of inspection processes and methods, as well as the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and other engineering technical data.
• Experience in Engineering, Operations, Quality, or Aerospace.
• Background in ISO 9001/AS9100.
• AS9102 FAI experience.
• Experience in using SAP, Solumina and MatrixOne.
