Lockheed Martin is looking for a dedicated Systems Engineer to join the SBIRS SEIT System Test and System Integration team for performing Systems of Systems integration, Systems Engineering, System Test, and end-to-end System Interface Engineering, Integration and Test, primarily on the GEO 5/6 Production and Modernization contract.

As a Systems Engineer, you will:
• Perform systems engineering, integration, and test activities
• Develop test plans and conduct test activities to include pre-test, during tests, and post-test analysis
• Coordinate with government and customer representatives in support of distributed multi-element test activities
• Interface with multiple contractor and government development, test, acquisition, and operations organizations
• Perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal
• Be based in Boulder, Colorado with travel to Aurora, CO, and Schriever AFB as required

Typically has 2 - 5 years of professional experience.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field; or equivalent work experience
• Familiarity with testing and problem solving for integrated systems
• Ability to take ownership of a task; accountable to a lead
• Active Secret security clearance
Desired Skills:
• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Aerospace Engineering
• Experience in a test and requirements verification environment
• Experience in Test Operations including the test development process, test execution, data analysis, anomaly resolution, satellite software test systems, and electrical test equipment such as oscilloscopes, network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and digital multi-meters
• Experience with satellite command and control systems
• Ability to learn quickly and work with little supervision
• Experience with system-level (SW / HW / NW) testing methodology and processes
• Team leadership experience
• Unix/Linux experience
• Ability to maintain process discipline in a dynamic and fast paced environment
• Demonstrated basic understanding of systems thinking skills and behaviors
• Excellent technical writing, planning and verbal communication skills, strong social skills, and ability to build solid relationships with team members
