Senior Manager, Performance Measurement

Description:The Senior Manager of Operations and Performance Measurement leads the implementation and oversight of measurement tools, data visualization, dashboards and advanced analytics that advance corporate communications business objectives. The position will report to the Vice President, Strategic Communications & Operations. The candidate will be responsible for collaborating and coordinating with internal teams and third-parties to maintain and improve processes and refine performance methodologies, dashboards and data visualizations to measure communication key performance indicators to achieve business outcomes. The candidate will be responsible for contributing to the development of a multi-year strategic communications plan for the communications function, as well as coordinating with stakeholder functions that leverage business performance measures.

• Candidate must have a marketing and communications analytical background and understand measurement concepts, data governance and the importance of scientific rigor
• Collaborates and coordinates with internal teams to maintain and improve processes that support data collection and analysis
• Identify and prioritize data use methodologies to support credible, reliable, and measurable communications programs that support business objectives.
• Harness strong business acumen and knowledge of disseminating information to leadership teams Establish and enforce standards for quality, consistency, credibility and effectiveness in mass communications.
• Candidate must have a strategic mindset in connecting data to business objectives
• Candidate must have experience working with data management, insight generation and presenting those insights
• Candidate must have experience working with marketing and communication platforms (ex. Adobe, Google) and integrating them across communication channels
• Candidate must be able to measure and report on key performance indicators and communicate status to executive-level principals and their teams
• Candidate must be able to establish and enforce data standardization focused on quality, consistency, accuracy, and sourcing for material
• Candidate must have experience integrating disparate data sources that performance of online and offline marketing activity
• Candidate must be capable of leading technical architecture and defining data requirements
• Candidate will be responsible for determining team roles, responsibilities and building the team
• Candidate will be responsible for managing the team budget, interacting with external subcontractors, and ensuring contractual obligations are met
• Candidate must be able to effectively and collaboratively drive consensus across a matrixed organization with stakeholders, systems and key performance indicators
• Candidate must be able to drive continuous process improvement

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree
• Ten years of demonstrated experience in the development of strategic, logical and creative technical solutions to challenging problems
• Knowledge about current performance trends, and general industry
• Ability to translate data into meaningful recommendations (storytelling), and influence audiences
• Ability to create and maintain a systematic approach to data governance
• Exceptional attention to detail, project management and commitment to flawless execution
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks
• Strong business acumen
Desired Skills:
• Ability to grasp complex topics, understand broader business and policy context, and capability to translate data into meaningful recommendations
• Ability to manage technical projects from ideation, requirements gathering through implementation
• Relevant data visualization and coding experience (SQL, R, Python) a plus
• Breadth of experience in corporate marketing and communications roles a plus
• Ability to develop relationships at all levels of an organization and across functions
• Ability to manage a team through prioritizing activity, holding team members accountable, providing feedback and development opportunities and rewarding shared successes
