Description:Corporate Strategy seeks a Senior Manager of Mission Solutions & Technology Strategy to drive, lead and partner across the enterprise to develop strategic mission assessments and campaigns spanning space, air, cyber, maritime, ground and the electromagnetic spectrum. This position is part of the Enterprise Strategic Studies (ESS) Directorate whose charter is to drive business growth by analyzing emerging geopolitical trends, customer mission and budget needs, and new entrant and competitor positioning, with the purpose of developing actionable OneLM strategies that advance the company's competitive edge.



The Mission Solutions & Technology Strategist will:

Manage the development, planning and execution of corporate strategic campaigns, studies and activities to identify, define, develop, and assess mission solutions and technologies across a broad strategic mission framework.

Connect operational and mission value to business and financial value and convey strategies to senior executive audiences.

Lead or support the planning and execution of mission-centric strategic campaigns and studies in tight coordination with the Business Area Strategic Studies Groups and Technology & Strategic Innovation directorates.

Design, develop and oversee corporate mission solution campaigns, including complex system of systems kill-chains for the Department of Defense, Intelligence Community and International Partners.

Develop strategies to convert mission campaign gaps into total systems solutions that account for design and technology maturity constraints of the mission solution and that provide business value to the organization.

Manage and execute a range of corporate strategy projects, ensuring timely and effective delivery of project objectives;

Develop and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders, including LMGA, T&SI, BA Strategy and Business Development teams, and Military Operations Analysis teams.

Proactively support the Strategic Studies organizations in the Business Areas with the definition, development, and assessment mission solutions and technologies.

Build, motivate, and develop a high-performing team to deliver business results.

The selected candidate will be required to be in close proximity to a major Lockheed Martin site due to the classified nature of the work.

This selected candidate must be able to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.
Basic Qualifications:
8 years of experience identifying, defining, developing, assessing, and demonstrating integrated mission strategies/solutions and translating these into actionable business outcomes

Understanding of existing and emerging mission challenges, capabilities to address those challenges, and the definition, development, assessment, and demonstration of integrated mission and system-of-system concepts, architectures, concepts of operation, etc. for addressing identified mission gaps

Strong leadership and executive communication skills, with the ability to drive results and build consensus across multiple stakeholders and cross-functional teams

Exceptional project management skills, with experience managing multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment

Proven ability to translate complex issues into actionable strategic recommendations and present them to senior leaders through compelling, concise presentations

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to construct, gather, and analyze complex data sets and develop actionable recommendations

Responsive, trusted, customer and enterprise-wide relationships

Knowledge of current and developing technologies and analysis methodologies.

Demonstrated experience communicating compelling written, verbal, and visual narratives that convey mission and business value to senior executives.

Demonstrated experience proactively developing and maintaining effective relationships and partnerships with colleagues and senior executives.

Willingness to work flexible hours and travel as needed, nominally 25-35%
Desired Skills:
Deep warfighter mission understanding spanning multiples of the following areas: anti-surface warfare, missile defense, space control, strike, contested logistics, cyber warfare, counter-air, counter-C5ISRT, and undersea warfare.

Background in an LM business area, with a technical knowledge of weapons systems capabilities.

Proven track record as a leader, with a demonstrated ability to build, motivate, and develop high-performing team, and to foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement

Recognized as an authority in mission and system-of-systems architectures, with the demonstrated ability to apply it to a wide range of sophisticated problems, and capacity train others in its application.

Knowledge of customer needs, decision calculus and processes at the senior military and political ranks

Business acumen and willingness to deepen knowledge of business decision processes and environments and global markets and trends

Related engineering degree, preferably a master’s degree.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $151,200 - $266,570. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $173,900 - $301,415. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
