Job Responsibilities
Description:Senior Engineering position supporting the operations and maintenance of a large scale RF Communication systems operating 24x7. Will be part of a multi-contractor team of hardware and system engineers located at a OCONUS site. Position requires a 2yr commitment on site beginning upon initial relocation, with possible travel to other CONUS locations required prior to that date. Will possibly perform pre-deployment training and preparation at several Washington, DC area LM programs. Personnel selected for this position are required to work flexible schedules to provide on occasion after hour and on-call support.
Primary responsibility will be to provide on hands technical expertise and direction of tasking to Operations and Maintenance support personnel across multiple large, integrated, complex hardware-software communications system in a real-time environment and on a daily business. Responsibilities include preventative and corrective maintenance support across multiple external interfaces over a robust multi-tiered network. Daily activities may include, but are not limited to, discrepancy report generation, work off and resolution, O&M training/mentoring, trending, procedure development, data collection, fault isolation, and performing real-time manual actions to restore system capabilities. Will assist contractor and customer meetings by attending, participating, and/or leading. The development of troubleshooting/recovery plans and execution of associated management and customer briefs may also be required. Participation in corrective maintenance will require remove/replace, repair, and testing failed hardware. Candidate will work closely with onsite HW engineers to provide support for discrepancy work off, installation efforts, and special test configurations. Candidate should have a solid working knowledge of varied test equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum/link/network analyzers, power meters and signal generation equipment.
Other primary and secondary responsibilities will include qualifying in multiple subsystems to include narrowband, wideband, antenna, and IT networks. Lead technical POC for other additional RF ground terminals/programs. Will interface with respective Hardware Factories, Senior Customer on site, other Hardware Engineering Teams located at other sites, and Program Management. Additional duties require training of Shift Engineers, new subsystem responsible engineers, and the customer. Opportunities include qualifying to sit in a Shift Engineer position to help shift relief, standing in for the site technical lead in their absence, and possibly site management.
Performance of maintenance activities will include climbing multiple sets of stairs, lifting/carrying up to 50lbs, and working in non-environment-controlled work spaces. Strict adherence to all applicable administrative, safety and security policies is required. Dependent on candidate's specific background, he/she will be required to perform 24x7 shiftwork as part of pre-deployment training and readiness. Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Basic Qualifications:
• Current TS/SCI Security Clearance and valid CI Polygraph
• Must be able to travel to a OCONUS overseas site
• Experience providing Ground Engineering O&M support, RF communication antennas and associated transmit and receive hardware systems, wideband/narrowband applications, signal analysis
• Experience with MS Office Products, Windows based operating systems and applications
Desired Skills:
• Technical experience with SATCOM Ground Terminals to include parabolic antennas, receive/transmit equipment, control, and status networks, IF and baseband signal processing.
• Technical experience with varied test equipment to include built-in test equipment, oscilloscopes, spectrum/link/network analyzers, power meters and signal generation equipment
• Technical experience with facility support systems for RF ground terminal systems (power, HVAC, etc.)
• Prior electronics and/or satellite communications training or experience
• Knowledge of network management, TCP/ICP, Cisco IOS, VMware, scripting, Windows 7, and Microsoft software products
• IAT Level I or higher certification: A+, Network+, Security+, etc.
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Proactive and positive team player with ability to effectively work closely with co-contractor teammates at multiple levels
• Experience with customer-built and COTs-based high speed networks, IT systems, and real-time software applications supporting communications systems

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: Standard Monday to Friday 40 hour work week
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $85,500 - $150,765. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
