Description:LM’s Corporate Strategy team is looking to hire an analytics lead who would serve as a key member of the team. The ideal candidate will be highly skilled in all aspects of data analytics, including mining, generation, and visualization. Additionally, this person should be committed to transforming data into readable, goal-oriented reports that help drive leadership decisions with regards to globally significant challenges and opportunities.

The analytics lead would be responsible for developing processes and methodologies that will enable the delivery of information and insights to Corporate Strategy analysts and leaders, as well as other key stakeholders across LM. This role will specifically focus on exploring strategic business questions, identify key sources of information and data, and leading analytics projects to deliver actionable insights and strategies. The analytics lead would work closely with all members of the Corporate Strategy team to build convincing and insightful strategy deliverables to LM senior leaders.

Primary responsibilities include:

Lead the ideation and visioning for analytics and insight capabilities of Corporate Strategy

Support development of a Data Strategy and roadmap, including but not limited to, data cleaning and preparation, data exploration and analysis, data visualization and reporting.

Work closely with project managers to understand and maintain focus on their analytics needs, including critical metrics and KPIs, and deliver actionable insights to relevant decision-makers

Proactively analyze data to answer key questions for stakeholders or yourself, with an eye on what drives business performance, and investigate and communicate which areas need improvement in efficiency and productivity

Create and maintain rich interactive visualizations through data interpretation and analysis, with reporting components from multiple data sources

Develop and maintain databases by acquiring data from primary and secondary sources, and build scripts that will make our data evaluation process more flexible or scalable across datasets
Basic Qualifications:
Possess a foundation in statistics and practical experience with statistical software (such as Excel, SPSS, SAS) and mastery in data analysis languages including SQL, Python, and R.

Exhibit analytical abilities to compile, structure, examine, and present substantial data sets with precision and thoroughness.

Capable of critically evaluating data to derive meaningful, actionable insights.

Demonstrate superior communication and presentation capabilities, adept at simplifying complex data insights for audiences without a technical background.

Proven success in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

Demonstrated experience in using data analytics to drive improved decision making.
Desired Skills:
A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Statistics, or a comparable discipline is preferred, with prior experience in data analysis or a related field being advantageous.

Experience with business strategy concepts, methods, and desired deliverables

Demonstrated experience on the ability to balance short-term, quick wins and long-term objective

Experience working in an iterative/changing environment

Highly self-motivated and mission success driven

Translate requirements into actionable tasks and meaningful solutions

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
