Description:Reporting to the Senior Communications Manager, C6ISR, the successful candidate creates proactive, engaging communications strategies to elevate the visibility of the Cyber Solutions portfolio and drive employee engagement.

This position is an integral member of the C6ISR Communications Team – developing and executing integrated communications strategies to support business milestones and captures. The role also develops and leads employee engagement and talent acquisition campaigns.

The ideal candidate will develop strong partnerships with business leaders, providing strategic counsel on the most effective communications strategies and approaches. Working with the enterprise communications teams, this communicator collaborates with teammates across functions (media relations, marketing, employee communications, multimedia, trade shows, etc.) to develop and execute integrated communications plans to support key results.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Develop, lead and measure an executive communications plan for Cyber Solutions vice president
• Develop a steady drumbeat of executive engagement with employees through site visits and employee roundtables, webcasts, video messages and new tools as appropriate
• Increase employee knowledge and understanding of business strategy.
• Apply strategic and enterprise thinking to shape the C6 employee experience and external engagement campaigns, ensuring purposeful communications achieve desired results, including aligning efforts to culture transformation efforts.
• Partner with human resources and global talent acquisition on communications for critical skills hiring and retention and participate on the Cyber Solutions Staffing Tiger Team
• Support Hanover site communications in coordination with the general manager, security, and human resources. Travel required to Hanover, MD on a routine basis.
Basic Qualifications:
• Exceptional writing, editing, video and oral communications skills with the ability to convey highly complex information in clear, compelling ways.
• Ability to cultivate and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and executive leadership.
• Ability to plan, organize and support employee and organizational events, executive communications, marketing and media events.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities under deadlines.
• Ability to collect and interpret metrics to influence strategic direction in communications plans.
• Motivated self-starter who performs independently and works effectively under competing priorities and tight deadlines.
• Familiarity with new communications trends and industry techniques.
• Proven quick study with an attention to detail and a sense of urgency.
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
• Ability to travel to Hanover, MD on a routine basis.
• Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 6 years of professional experience; or 4 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree. Considered career, or journey, level.
Desired Skills:
• Prior experience planning and executing employee and executive communications, including writing for the web, video production or internal and external audiences and a strong understanding of AP style.
• Prior experience working in Aerospace & Defense industry, supporting or familiar with US Government acquisition of Cyber security/Intelligence products and services
• Excellent strategist with keen creative instincts and expertise influencing leadership to achieve desired outcomes.
• Familiarity with contemporary communications trends and industry techniques, including social media and visual storytelling.
• Understanding of analytics and analysis to influence strategic decisions and direction.
