Description:The Work
Multi-Domain Combat Systems (MDCS) is seeking a Strategy & Business Development (S&BD) professional to support the Advanced Expeditionary Defense (AED) market segment. This role will focus on opportunity development and growth for Command and Control, Mission Command, Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD), and Fires solutions across Army, Joint Services (USMC, Air Force, Navy, etc), and Mission Partners. The candidate will drive disruptive strategies, forge strategic partnerships, align enterprise campaign investments to captures and customer demonstrations, focus on rapid and iterative capability delivery to the operational user, and position the AED portfolio for growth in the current adaptive acquisition environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Partner with MDCS, OneLM partners, Advanced Concepts, and Lockheed Martin Artificial Intelligence Center (LAIC) to define vision, priorities, and strategy aligned to Army/Joint customer priorities.
• Partner with LM Government Affairs to build and strengthen relationships with LM Partners, DoD Services, Combatant Commands, and international partners, as well as traditional and non traditional industry partners. Customers, influencers, and key decision makers include, but are not limited, Program Acquisition Executive Fires & Command and Control (C2)/ Counter Command and Control (CC2); Capability Portfolio Executives (CPE) for Guam/Golden Dome, Offensive Fires, Defensive Fires, C2/CC2; Army Combatant Commands, Army DEVCOM Labs, Army Centers of Excellence, Army Future Capabilities Directorates (FCDs), the United States Marine Corps, and others.
• Support and pursue strategies to drive growth in Army C2 areas like Defense of Guam, Guam Battle Manager, Golden Dome for America (GDA), Next Gen C2 (NGC2), and Integrated Air & Missile Defense Battle Command System (IBCS) Modernization with focus on rapid capability enhancements to these systems, integration of new and novel sensors/effectors, artificial intelligence / machine learning technology, capability delivered in flexible form factors, and virtualized instantiations.
• Stay current on emerging requirements in Cross Echelon/Multi Domain Command and Control including distributed, networked, data centric, cloud to edge, battle management / decision aids, and other broader industry trends.
• Lead opportunity identification, business case development, win strategy formulation, and capture execution.
• Conduct customer value proposition workshops and manage contact plans to shape requirements and ensure solutions meet market needs.
• Research competitive intelligence and lead Black Hat assessments to refine position to win strategies.
• Drive disruptive initiatives – OTAs, CSOs, CRAD/IRAD integration, third party partnerships, utilization of LM Ventures and LM Evolve companies, S&T, and external investments to transition capability to customers faster.
• Represent MDCS at industry and customer forums to influence requirements.
• Collaborate across functions (BD, Engineering, Program Management, Finance, Contracts, Legal, etc.) to follow the Win Plan, build capture teams, manage NBF resources, and ensure seamless capture and execution.
• Provide timely and high-quality staff work, including but not limited to presentations, white papers, activity reports, meeting notes, call plans and trade show support.
Basic Qualifications:
• Experience in business development, capture management, and/or program management.
• Experience and successful participation in winning new business acquisitions with the US Army.
• Understanding of Lockheed Martin win plan, capture process, and business development practices. Experience leading competitive pursuits.
• Experience supporting customer contact tracking, decision mapping, competitive intelligence, and customer assessments.
• Demonstrated experience organizing and presenting data to senior/executive management. Communications skills in Power Point, Written media, and verbal presentations.
• Experience in leveraging stakeholder functional organizations: Program Management, Engineering, Sustainment Operations, Contracts, Business Ventures/Offset, and Legal
• Active Secret Clearance (interim acceptable)
Desired Skills:
• Master’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related discipline
• 10+ Years Prior Army Military Service
• Track record with innovative acquisition pathways (OTAs, CSOs, CRAD/IRAD integration) and forging enterprise and third-party industry partnerships, including non-traditional entrants.
• Recognized as a change agent and results-oriented individual contributor driving disruptive initiatives.
• Domain expertise in Cross-Echelon/Multi-Domain Command and Control.
• Active TS clearance with eligibility for SCI.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $128,400 - $226,435. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
