Description:This Executive Assistant position will report to and support both the Vice President of Corporate Communications & Brand and Vice President of Corporate Affairs & International Communications. The position requires an individual that is a team player, has excellent interpersonal skills, communication skills, professionalism, and proven ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritization skills. The position requires extensive administrative assistant experience supporting executive level employees and the selected candidate will interface with company executives and external contacts. Position requires working on site / in person in Bethesda, MD, with periodic travel required to Crystal City, VA.
Responsibilities include:
• Maintains calendars to ensure efficiency and maximum use of leader's time, arranges meetings, makes travel arrangements and interfaces with internal and external customers.
• Works effectively with internal and external staff assistants to schedule meetings and coordinate communication between Executives in a timely and efficient manner.
•Ability to multi-task in a fast paced and deadline driven environment without constant oversight from leadership
• Demonstrates initiative, discretion and tact in managing email, telephone calls and other requests. Ensures all correspondence is accurate, complete and properly handled.
•Supports and coordinates varied team meetings and offsite events which necessitates strong organizational skills
• Operates with a proactive nature to ensure conflicts or issues are handled in advance, and quickly resolves unexpected conflicting meetings and schedules.
• Maintains an efficient work environment.
• Plan and execute logistics related to all actions on the Vice President’s calendars to include scheduling meetings, and evaluating travel logistics to accommodate commitments while on travel.
• Coordination with the Technical Assistant to prioritize and de-conflict travel and meeting logistics.
• Preparation and processing of expense reports and timely reconciliation of the business travel card.
• Submission of invoices, manage all required event approvals, and handle planning for offsites and events.
• Process all aspects of the travel itinerary, security forms, clearances for domestic and international travel.
• Process visitor requests for meetings held onsite.

•Retrieve, Open & Distribute Mail to the appropriate person (as needed)
•Order and Set-up Catering/lunches for Visitors (as needed)
•Coordinate Special Events (When Necessary)
•Manage various Administrative tasks.
Basic Qualifications:
5+ years of experience as an administrative experience supporting senior leadership
• Proficient in calendar management, meeting coordination, travel arrangements, expense report preparation, and interfacing with internal/external customers.
• Experience coordinating business rhythms, distribution lists, and data collection activities.
• Skilled at collaborating with internal and external staff assistants to schedule meetings and facilitate executive communication efficiently.
• Ability to multitask in fast paced, deadline driven environments with minimal supervision.
• Demonstrates initiative, discretion, and tact when handling email, phone calls, and other requests; ensures correspondence is accurate, complete, and properly processed.
• Capable of supporting and organizing diverse team meetings and off site events, requiring strong organizational abilities.
• Must be willing to work on-site full-time
• Proficient with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Travel Planning (Concur), and other standard company programs.
• Exceptional communication skills (verbal and written) and attention to detail.
• Exceptional organizational skills and ability to follow through on actions per the requested due dates and deadlines.
• Candidate must also be flexible with their work schedule and available on weekends when needed.

• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
• Proactive in anticipating conflicts or issues, swiftly resolving unexpected scheduling conflicts.
• Knowledge of Lockheed Martin’s processes, procedures, internal systems that are used to provide administrative support to executives such as travel and expense reporting systems.
• Demonstrated ability to handle high-paced environment.
• Demonstrated experience and history of strong performance in prior administrative roles supporting executive teams.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $71,600 - $126,155. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
