Job Responsibilities
Description:Lockheed Martin Corporate Strategy is seeking a highly experienced executive with deep corporate strategy vision, a proven record of shaping long term growth and C-suite savvy communications skills to head its Enterprise Strategy & Growth (ES&G) Directorate. Working hand-in-hand with LM’s most senior leaders the Director will shape the company’s long‑term growth outlook, define and evolve its enterprise strategy, and drive high impact, strategic discussions that shape decisive C suite actions.
This position will lead a team of strategists in:
• LM North Star Strategy – Manage the process for development, communication, and evolution of the company’s overarching strategic vision
• Long‑Term Growth Forecasting – Direct the 10‑year strategic forecast model, incorporating scenario analysis and key annual insights that result in actionable initiatives.
• Executive Strategic Councils & Events– Shape and manage the ELT-level Strategy Council, Strategic Planning Conference, Board of Directors Strategy session, BA Priorities Review and ELT Strategic Advisory Group (SAG).
• Integrated Strategic Calendar – Manage the enterprise‑wide calendar of strategic events, ensuring alignment of Annual Priorities Reviews and other key touchpoints.
•International Strategy Support – Provide centralized strategic support for global markets and initiatives.
• Strategic Project Management – Lead and govern ELT level strategic programs that deliver fresh insights that translate to measurable business impact.
• Data Driven Strategy Enablement – Champion the integration of artificial intelligence, advanced analytics, and modern data architecture to amplify strategic insights, forecasting accuracy, and decision making excellence.
In addition to these key strategic initiatives, the Director will:
• Develop and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders, including Business Area leadership, F&BO, BA Strategy and Business Development teams, Corporate Development, LM Ventures, LM Evolve, BA Controllers, CTO, Operations, and GBDI; and,
• Build, motivate, and develop a high-performing team to deliver business results.
This role requires extensive travel, primarily to Bethesda, MD, and Crystal City (Arlington), VA, as well as other locations, to support SVP and ELT priorities.
Basic Qualifications:
• Strong leadership and executive communication skills, with the ability to drive results and build consensus across multiple stakeholders and cross-functional teams
• Demonstrated expertise in developing strategic vision and translating it into business action and outcomes
• Proven financial and business acumen
• Leadership in developing long-range strategic forecast models, extracting executive-level insights and translating those insights into concise, actionable recommendations
• Understanding of enterprise-wide Strategic Planning cadences and experience in complex stakeholder alignment across business areas and functions
• Exceptional project management skills, with experience managing multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Proven ability to translate complex issues into actionable strategic recommendations and present them to senior leaders through compelling, concise presentations
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to construct, gather, and analyze complex data sets and develop actionable recommendations
• Proven track record as a leader, with a demonstrated ability to build, motivate, and develop high-performing teams, and to foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement
• Willingness to work flexible hours and travel as needed, nominally 25%
Desired Skills:
• Background in an LM business area or a deep understanding of the company's products, services, markets, and operations
• Proficiency in key technologies impacting the aerospace and defense industry
• Understanding of international strategy development and experience working in a global business environment, with a knowledge of international markets and trends

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $180,000 - $309,120. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
