You will be the Business Development Senior Manager for the Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) Strategy & Business Development organization, supporting the Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) Line of Business. Our team is responsible for developing and fielding Air and Missile Defense weapons and systems for the U.S. Armed Forces.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Business Development Senior Manager, you will be responsible for assessing customer needs, developing technical and business solutions, and advocating for advanced program technology solutions. You will work closely with Program Management and Engineering and Technology teams to inform the development of premier solutions within MFC product lines.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Assessing customer strategic capability gap requirements
• Developing and synchronizing long-range strategic plans for the IAMD Line of Business
• Identifying and validating business opportunities
• Developing and executing capture plans
• Managing customer interactions
• Guiding internal efforts to support US Government activities

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - A company-sponsored interim secret is required to start.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed (20%+)
• Must have an active Interim Secret clearance.
• Minimum 15 years experience in U.S. military, U.S. Government, or technology based industry.
• Subject matter expert on U.S. Armed Forces fielded Air and Missile Defense (AMD) Programs with specific area of expertise in PATRIOT, THAAD, and IAMD.
• Possess experience and a current working knowledge of DoD Acquisition process and DoD Directive 5000.1, the Joint Capability Integration and Development System (JCIDS), and Army Air and Missile Defense Combat Developments process.
• Possess experience with the U.S. Army and MDA Program Objective Memorandum (POM) process, acquisition and procurement business processes, and U.S. Armed Forces Service cultures to align strategic objectives and capture strategies.
• Must possess strong organizational and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively verbally and in writing, with all levels of management, engineers, Department of Defense officials and Functional employees.
Desired Skills:
• Advanced degree in an engineering or science discipline
• Superior knowledge of U.S. Armed Forces AMD operational strategy, tactical employment and modernization strategy.
• Knowledgeable of U.S. Army and MDA Program Objective Memorandum (POM) build, acquisition and procurement business processes and U.S. Armed Forces Service cultures.
• Demonstrated outstanding leadership skills and proven success leading high-performing organizations.
• Superior understanding of the Department of Defense and U.S. Army budgeting and acquisition processes.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills necessary to clearly articulate strategies at multiple levels of business and government.
• Knowledgeable of linkage and coordination between U.S. Army Fires Center of Excellence, Space and Missile Defense Command, Army Futures Command, and U.S. Army Air Defense Center Combat Development processes; Program Executive Office, Missiles and Space and Lower Tier Program Office operations; HQDA Air and Missile Defense Program operations in the Pentagon.
• Effective Team Player – Outstanding organizational ability and demonstrated excellence motivating a diverse set of individuals in pursuit of common objectives.
• Previous military experience in Air and Missile Defense.
• Understanding of Integrated Air and Missile Defense weapons systems, sensors and military advanced technologies.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $151,200 - $266,570. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year. This position is incentive plan eligible.
